Just buy a touch up pen that has the abrasive tip for that exact purpose. If you can't find one then take a pencil with an eraser and glue a small section of sandpaper to it then hit the area with that and use some touch up paint. My whole front half of my hood looks like your two chips there, although some aren't rusting.

I've been thinking of getting a double-din stereo with a big screen, but I worry that being down so low it will not be that useful OR if it has a tiltable screen will get in the way of the shifter (automatic). What are your thoughts on the stereo so far with being down low and the angle of it?

I had the same worry, but I see no problem with the angle of the screen now. I didnt want a tiltable screen for the same reason, and I'm glad I went with this one.

What head unit is that? I have to start looking, as my factory unit has developed a short, one side comes and goes with hitting bumps.

Pioneer AVH-x2700bs I think this particular model has been discontinued, but I have had the head unit for almost 5 years (just now got around to installing the backup cam for it) and have had no problems with it.

I went with pioneer because they periodically provide free firmware updates on their website thats easily installed with a USB drive.

I have the greasable OME shackles. Highly recommend them or any other greasable ones. I still need to find greasable bolts for the front of the springs.

Yessir, well not the shackles but I bought the Daystar greasable bolts/bushings kit for both sides. So it's the stock shackles but the bolts that go through the bottom bushings have a zerk for greasing.

Did you buy the kit or just the hardware?

I have the OME greasable shackles & the daystar greaseable eye bolts for the front of the leaf springs too.

I don't think they sell just the greasable hardware for the shackles. Like @eon_blue mentioned above. I don't understand how that would work as my stock shackles only come apart on the outerside, the inner side is one piece (studs pressed into the plate). Well I suppose you could drill em out.

The OME shackles are a kit. The end plates are much heavier duty and like @zero4 said, the stock ones are a 2 piece deal, the bolts are welded to the plates.

I’ve got a similar setup to what bentenna has; I wired the camera up so anytime I have marker lights on it’s on. Helps me keep tabs on traffic etc behind me. Really helps since the sofTopper kills some rearward visibility.
