    I should have been more clear.. they stack just fine.. but are very bulky and tall when stacked compared to maxtrax.. I want to say twice as thick... kind of a hindrance as I mount then on my roof rack it would be nice to have a thinner setup

    These can be mounted at the end of the bed just behind the cab using the bed rails, correct?

    How tall are a set of two when stacked?

    I haven't measured, but maybe this picture of my own setup helps? Lol I used carriage bolts in the channels of the crossbars of my Prinsu toprac, and they're either 5 or 6 inch bolts. Can't remember which. You can zoom in on the pic. I guess I could go measure if you'd need me to. Lol

    Alright, I went out and measured. My carriage bolts are 6" long, and two boards (gen2 if I'm not mistaken) stacked together reaches 3.5" at the top of the body of the board. About 3.75-4" if you include the tread nub things.

    Alaskan Malamute Fur and a plethora of mods... because ...
    I just picked some up but haven’t used them yet. Seem solid and it’s a reasonable price versus a tow truck or worse. Even if they turn out to be a one time use product.... it’s peace of mind. Although I have used cheaper products and even simple dead branches and rocks to get out of some stuff.... these will be easier to deploy.

    First time I used them was out in the desert recovering someone who had gotten stuck. Worked great.

    BFG KM2 255/85r16 Bilstein 5100s OME 888, HD Dakar’s, JBA control arms, BAMF Shackle hangers and shackle.
    Nothing but good things to say about the x bull recovery boards. Broke through some ice and got stuck in the mud. Boards worked great backing out of it. FYI I almost lost one in the mud. Tie a rope to them for recovery of the recovery boards.

    That’s a good video for people on the fence between X-Bulls and something pricier.

    I used a pair of X-Bulls this weekend to get through a spot where my 2wd lost traction. The carrying bag was surprisingly helpful - I zipped the muddy boards into the case and washed them out when I got home. I know some people mount their boards on their trucks, but the bag is nice for my purposes.

    So I got stuck twice this weekend and had to be towed out and dont have money for a full on bumper winch setup so I purchased I bought a set of orange ones cause it had real great reviews & was cheaper than the trek or whoever ones. They were still $140.

    Thinking I might get another set so I can put under all for tires? When I got stuck this weekend my skid plate was shoved into a bunch of mud and stopped there bkuz I was going way too slow. (Learned I need momentum). The right front tire was only about 3 inches above the water in this mud hole.

    Think I couldve got out with just 2 on the rear, would I have needed all 4? Would I still been stuckk if my truck is partially resting on the skid plate? Or do I have to hi Jack the buried tire and filled in the hole?

    Oh & If I should get 2 more should I get the same, I didnt see the xbull but like the carrying bag

    @Trptamene, not sure what the traction boards will do for you if you're high centered on your skid. As @steveo27 said, a shovel and hi lift (with a base) are going to do more in that situation. If you get a liftmate you can use the hi lift to jack up a wheel and put things under it or use it as a winch/come along in a pinch.

    Well my logic was that while the front right was high centered 2 rear tires were flat on the ground and above the surface, & the left front was only buried about 8 inches. So I thought if I had 2 or 3 to put under these wheels and get traction I'd of had enough power to back myself out.

    I know there would be no hope of going forward, but I thought w 2 tires touching the ground I should be able to pull my front end out a mud bank, not like it was rocks or a boulder.

    Prolly gonna invest in the hijack anyway but imma be a sad disappointed If w 3 wheels touching I still have no hope? Figured all that is needed to get out is a lil traction...no?

    I'm very inexperienced offroading
