I just received my G4 Elite and was reading the installation instructions, it states install temperature needs to be at least 70 degrees for the weather strip to stick properly. Here in Utah that won't happen until Spring, my garage isn't heated. It's around 45 degrees today, has anyone installed this in cold temperatures? Did the weatherstrip bond properly?

brought my cover inside to install the weather strip. I also very slightly used a hair dryer to warm the surface because our inside heat is 68f.

I also made a roller wheel to be able to really set it on well.

Thanks for the info. I also thought about bringing the parts inside after posting question, but it still leaves the tailgate seal, which will be installed in the cold. I think I'll carefully heat the surface as you did.

Is the tailgate seal the only weather strip that must be installed on the truck? Does the tailgate seal need to be installed or can I just wait for warmer weather? I assume everything else that needs weather strip can be done indoors.

Yes. The ones on the cover can be done inside.

I never put my tailgate seal on, but living in Vegas means little rain.

    Thanks for the info.
I assumed the tailgate seal attached to the truck, not the tailgate. That's good all the seals can be installed indoors.
