What you dont trust a TECH to be able to competently unbolt and rebolt things together attempting to pretend they know what the actual problem is cause they have no clue how to actually diagnose issues?

Im with ya though....that and Im to lazy to take it somewhere. And being a morning person Im usually up and done with service before places are even open. Though to be fair an oil change probably takes three times as long....but I do it in between other stuff. Remove drain plug, come back 3 minutes later after doing other stuff, change filter, come back later...ect, ect

I pulled that directly from their initial response email. I actually forwarded it to their GM and asked what the deal was. Never heard back from him, but did get an email from a "business development manager" a couple weeks later asking if their internet manager got me all the info I needed and noting that they now had the truck I wanted on their lot.
The truck I wanted was already in my driveway by then.

I bought a 16runner & Tundra and again in 18’ from them. So I’ve purchased roughly 4-5 brand new vehicles in the past 5 years from them.

I had an issue awhile back and I emailed their GM and service manager:

Basically picked up the Tundra after an Oil change and the wheel almost fell off.

I didn't buy my latest taco from them because they didn't have it when I was suffering from insomnia but every time I take my vehicles in for service they take "extra" care now. I don't know why it has to get to this point and it's embarrassing that I've spent close to 230k in sales with them and have this happen.

Yeah, the GM and Service Manager called me. Told me they suspended the kid who did my service to give him time to think about his actions (whatever, like that kid cared). Said that they’ll manage my vehicles themselves moving forward.

I go there because it’s easy, convenient and I have a real relationship with their sales guy. If they put push to start in the 4Runner pro’s we’re getting rid of the wife’s runner for that.

The day they tell me to pound sand, I’m going to do a full on pr-blitz on their ass.

If you bought the truck from them, don’t take no as an answer. Submit a case to corporate

Michaels has the absolute worst service dept on the planet. 4 hour express oil changes. Make an appointment makes no difference. I bought 2 trucks there and never again. Worst dealer and service I have ever experienced, and in my 56 years, I have now owned 67 cars.
    Worst
    Ever

I bought private seller, I'm the 3rd owner. I've gotten a few misc parts through their parts department no problem there. My last 2 visits to their service department have been complete bombs. I'm sure due to the fact that I buy my own parts and do my own service, along with not having spent more than $100 at that dealership they don't see me as an important customer.

I went back and read your first post, I did the same thing with my 09’ taco. Took it to 3 different dealers and all said no till I wrote corporate.

Guess I'm the only one with decent experiences with them? I had one shitty service manager but the rest were fine. Anyone go to Renton Toyota for service?

Well fuck. Sounds like Puget sound has some real winners for Toyota service departments.

I've already submitted a case about my experience at Michaels.

yeah complain to corporate and they may send a corporate tech rep out to get a second/third opinion.

Funny you mentioned the factory/corporate tech opinion. A negative review was posted on behalf of my experience to michaels fb page and they responded with this. They quickly deleted their response.

I haven't been notified of a corporate tech coming out to inspect my frame, and on the contrary, when filing my complaint with corporate, they stated the dealer has the final say.

Now I'm curious on who is responsible for Michael's social media accounts.

It's pretty easy. Cut the switch out and connect the res wire to your Switch Pro wire (button) of choice and connect the black to a negative ground. The take the power wires and wire directly to the battery. Red to positive and black to negative.
I'd help you out but I'm in Richland.
