I think he has the stock pump but he is saying part throttle so max fuel demand does not apply here.

Yikes stock pump on a 2.5 I would be scared lol.

I just placed my order for a 2.7 quickchange kit.

 

You will be very close to max idc unless you are running fpr mod.

 

I ran the stock fuel pump on a 2.7. I think a correct pump makes a difference even at part throttle. Never know how the in tank filter is performing.

 

I wonder if a dual pump setup, with the second pump coming on under boost would work. There was a guy working on that, but I cant remember who.

So in closed loop and vacuum you are running less than oem fuel pressure so the ecu has to add fuel to compensate.
Then when it goes into open loop it most likely is leaning out until boost pressure increases fuel pressure.
This is an inherent disadvantage of the fpr mod on a TRD tune which becomes more noticeable with the smaller sc pullies.

 

Yes. Lots of high hp units have staged fuel pumps.

 

And the bypass is closed. More air. I knew there would be a limit to the fpr mod.

 

What kind of AFRs are you seeing?

WOT over 4K it was 11.5. Like that. Lower rpms without real boost saw 13’s and 14’s. It’s that mid range. Fuel delivery must be limited. Still waiting on Magnuson to send the gasket. They forgot to mail it... I think the bypass was a much bigger difference than I thought it would be.

Also, OV just confirmed his iOtech software will handle bigger fuel pumps and injectors.

 

Would be amazing if it actually happens. I'd like to send my stock N/A injectors out to have the flow bumped up to 61lbs. Seems like a cheaper alternative to buying new.

 

But at least I can still drive over stuff while I’m waiting on the Tacoma.

 

Let me know if you find somewhere that can actually do that. I called a 2 shots and they said they couldn’t so I gave up.
