The local weather last night mentioned 100° difference here too. Tomorrow windchill could hit -70°. That is more than 100° colder than freezing. Record was -67° in 1936 at Grand Marias. I hope that is a record that stands no desire to see it broken, although still going to be cold even if it doesn't. Wait it is already cold. Not sure that it matters in real life. Air temp is supposed to be -35° but that record was -42° back in the 70's.

You need to take her out and wine & dine her and sweet talk her into warming things up.

Talked to one of my guys making a delivery to Camp Ripley there in Little Falls, he was saying it was -40° yesterday. We used to fuel up on Base/Post but many installations starting getting the 20% bio-diesel. The stuff kept crystallizing in the lines and filters.

And a Happy Birthday to @MoneyMan55

Local paper had some cold weather facts
From 1885 - 2015 there have been only 5 days where it Didn't get below -30 somewhere in the state.
Coldest temp was in 1996 -55
10 of the coldest days have been in March

I think some of these weather facts need to shared with the National media. They all seem to think that we have never experienced this type of cold before.

Louisville had it's coldest day on record AND the most snow on a single day on the same day in 1994. -22 degrees and 22" of snow. Most snow in one "snow event" was 38" spread over 3 days continuous snow. That was in 2002

Anything under 72 degrees is unacceptable to me BTW....:anonymous:

Just for the heck of it I looked up Wisconsin record high temp. 114 degrees in 1936

That makes a 169 degree difference between record low and record high. Wow

I need to find something better to do with my life than look up weather facts.

Yeah I think they cut the diesel winter protection kind of close here, no idea why. But is one of the things that makes me hesitate to move in that direction up here.

I know right?! Everything is the end of world when you watch it on TV anymore. Even the weather

That was my favorite Sunday evening TV show. A long time ago.
