I could be down to roll out there, just don't want to snag up all your visitor passes! Do you pretty much stay out in the tempe area or do you ever come up north?

Funny you say 'push' workout as muscles have zero ability to push. They can only contract! So while the physical motion feels like pushing, this mentality applies to all workouts.

    Real simple breakdown for Chest.

Start with a very light shoulder warm-up. Dumbbell raises and arm circles.

Then 1 set of lightweight db press. Then heavier and heavier.

    Straight into heavy incline.

Followed by a lighter weight shaping/sculpting exercise. At this point I start mixing in intermediate exercises (push-ups, lightweight flys, etc.). I continue shaping exercises until it is time for a burnout.

A burnout is a 'safe' exercise, with a stable base, that focuses solely on the targeted muscle. Light weight and maximum reps (~50-100 reps).

    Then I go home.

Meh it’s fine, never used any & have barely went lol just have to take care of the whole paying the membership & seeing where we’re at after. We pretty much stay in Tempe, go to north Glendale, go well anywhere for a good purpose lol what do you have in mind up north?
Damn lol so your “reps” are basically whatever you feel in your muscles as they go?

    Correct.

I usually end somewhere between 8-12, but the number of reps is never the driving factor to stop the set. Sometimes I hit 20 because my lower back may be situated just right, or the song in my headphones is a good one, or I smashed my finger at the end of my last set and I am angry, shit like that.

And sometimes I only hit 4, since the last set may have been all that I had in me, or I rushed a set too soon so I can grab a popular, but empty, machine for my next exercise.

I'd definitely start with a number of reps to hit if you're a beginning, or out of touch, weightlifter. You have to know what your current limits are in order to know how far you are pushing yourself.

I have been lifting for a long time, with a ~5 year period being extreme and unhealthy, like 5-6 hours per day, 7 days a week. I've competed in Physique competitions and have lifted literally tens of millions of pounds of iron. My strategies may not work for most people, but it's what works for me. And I feel like it's a good way to get a lot out of a workout.

Bragging rights, maybe, unless you are doing a strength training program (Like 5 by 5) that requires you to lift a specific percentage of your 1RM.

Do you watch your diet? Or is it based more on portions?

Oh fuck, haha. The diet is the key. It's 80% diet for me now.

And that topic is massively complex. But one thing is for certain, diet is key.

I hate to call it a diet too, it really has to be a lifestyle, as cliche as that is.

    Yea that makes sense lol
Im sure for my goal to lose weight I gotta make a 180 degree turn with what I eat, go back to chicken & rice plus vegetables & other healthier shit vs all the junk food
Would you say adding whey protein & creatine helps your workouts?

Dump sugar entirely and you'll be off to a great start.

    P.S. Sugar is absolutely everywhere.

Whey protein was food for me, it didn't impact my workouts.

Creatine also didn't help my workout per se, though it can have a mental effect on you as it triggers the storage of water within the muscle cells, so you feel and look bigger than you really are, which could make you feel more motivated, which in turn may make you work out harder.

Pre-workout helped, a lot, but you get burned out on that stuff wayyyyy too fast. Plus its pricey as all get out. I no longer use it.

So I’d be better off adding say the “golden standard” brand of whey? I don’t remember if that’s the name. I used to take that back in high school. Lol
& stay away from pre workout & creatine?
    Any recommendations?

I just live up in the Scottsdale area so wasn’t sure if you ever passed through up here. Getting into my little gym is free. We can always try to do some work outs on the weekend or something too. My buddy carter likely lives out where you are.

Sounds good, I might be around this weekend although wheeling plans are already in development. I swear man I have already been out in dirt more here than I have been in the last 12 months.

I'm guessing they are the offsets off the ears underneath the front crossmember? Mine used to have those, but I had to remove those ears before I could mount my front IFS skid so you may not have those anymore.
