The only person worse than a gofundme beggar are the people who throw money in and validate this sort of stupidity.

I have not been to Caboose yet, but Settle Down Easy is just down the street, inside the beltway there and pretty good.

Never heard of it but looked at the website and it looks nice.. but it doesn't say anything about outside seating and I'll have the pup with me since I'll be leaving the vet right around the corner from there. Definitely somewhere I'll have to check out tho.

oh agreed, its sad that people buy into that crap. and using your child as the reason to beg for things that arent necessary is super shitty.

No outside seating IIRC, and can't remember if thtey allowed dogs inside or not. As of last year, the law changed to leave that up to the breweries discretion. Powers Farm Brewery in Fauquier allows them inside, as does Sinistral and Tucked Away in Manassas.

Damn.. I didn't know that. That's pretty cool but I read on Settle Down Easy's website they don't allow them. Oh well but news to me that others do. I always thought dogs insider, unless service, were against DHEC regs.

Stand alone breweries and wineries are not restaurants, so different set of rules. Brewpubs are another animal.

So guys, i have a personal opinion sorta question and want your honest thoughts.

On 10/22 i had a VERY expensive clutch kit installed (don't want to name brand) and purchased every possible replacement part from the same company - upgraded throw out bearing sleeve kit, flywheel, bolts, etc. All of which were recommended by them based on my application. All of these parts were installed at an ASE certified shop.

About 2 weeks ago i suspected the throw out bearing was bad, called the seller and he said "our bearings don't go bad", assured me that i wasn't familiar with the noises a bad bearing made and dismissed my call.

Well here we are about 2 weeks later and 2k miles after the install and the throw out bearing is bad. From what i understood, the seller is only willing to ship a replacement throw out bearing and do nothing about the adjoining parts or the close to $1,000 labor charge to replace it.

Am i in the wrong expecting more? I'm quiet unhappy that a $2200 adventure lasted less than 3 months and 2k miles. Should i expect them to do more?

For reference, the stock components lasted 79k miles trouble free until the supercharger install, where the stock clutch could not hold the power.

That’s surprising URD is saying that. Did it damage other parts while in there?

I'm not sure. I have had a release issue today, which may be indicative of scoring on the sleeve from a overheated or deformed throw out bearing.

That was the friction disc overhanging the pressure plate by like 1/4" all the way around and barely missing some rivets on the pressure plate. They said that was intentionally designed that way. Me and the mechanic thought it was odd, to the point he didnt want to install it.

That’s weird. It’s a tough situation that you’re in. I would obviously be pissed the part failed and expect a new one but I’m unsure what my stance would be on paying for labor.
