How is something this size for someone with very large hands? My glove size has to XL or the gloves are way too tight. It's 4" when I make a fist.

I think I have big hands and I think it felt batter than Glock 43. Fondle a couple different pistols before buying one.

My one complaint with Shield is that a tool is needed for takedown. That yellow thing is a sear disconnector and needs to be pryed back a little to remove slide

Holy shit thank you, I was wondering why I couldn’t tear it down last time I tried. I just gave up.

Grip similar to Glock 19 but thinner since single stack

I've been thinking about a 9 for the house. I sold everything I had that I wasn't using but now regret selling the 22. Colt. No one knew about any of them.

Why the "no Safety" feature? I feel like I am just inviting disaster knowing my luck. I certainly don't want something going off if I drop it.

Also, I assume just because you are buying this through a website that all other firearm purchase laws apply, correct?

How many rounds does the Shield hold? Is it safe to assume the 19 is 18 and one in the pipe?

Since we always treat guns as loaded and keep our fingers off the triggers until we are ready to fire, a safety is one more thing to get in the way when you need to defend yourself. Just my preference but as you can see my gun has the safety, lol.

Yes all laws apply and you need your HQL

I like no safety because it’s one less thing for me to think about in a high stress situation where I’d be using it. I keep mine locked in a safe next to my bed and wear a bracelet that opens it.

As far as dropping it there are internal safeties to prevent an accidental discharge in that case.

I've been around guns ever since I was old enough to handle them and have never had an incident. I am the one guy at the range sweating, worrying about everyone else. I take gun safety very seriously and never play. It's a tool and has a purpose. You shoot them for two reasons. One of which is to practice so you can use the tool when you need to. There is no third reason.

Yea, after washing the misfire thing on tv I am even more cautious. Plus I am super clumsy.

Shield has mags that hold 7 and a slightly longer mag that holds 8.

Glock 19 mags are 15 rounds.

Plus one in the pipe for all of the above.

I heard at a Maryland range, someone shot a transferable MP5 (full Auto, $30,000 gun) with a negligent discharge from a pistol. Ouch!

    Well, more is more.

Can't you use an extended clip in a certain Glock? I use to hunt with a bunch of BCPD (my cousin in law one of them) and I sorta remember seeing a Glock with a clip sticking out of the grips twice as long as the grips.

    A thing or two...
Glock 17/34 (17 rounds) and Glock 18 (33 rounds) mags fit in the Glock 19. I'm pretty sure they'll fit the Glock 26 as well, but I don't feel like going down stairs to check. There are also factory and aftermarket magazine extensions.

I may be old but I can remember some things. Like reloading taking a hell of a lot longer than emptying them.

Someone was fooling around with their pistol and it accidentally went off, and shot a hole in someone else’s MP5 that was nearby.
