There is a “District Manager” who will come out and review. Unfortunately his job is to remediate their cost as much as possible but seeing the situation, this solution shouldn’t cost them much.

 

Well their ears must have been burning, I just got a phone call from their service dept manager, Mr. McDuffie and he agreed with me after reviewing my paperwork and the pictures of my frame that there is INDEED something wrong with my frame and the amount of corrosion is concerning to him. They'll take it back and have a factory service tech from Oregon come and give his .02¢ on the condition of my frame.

TOK has a nice showroom.

can someone help me out?? 2014 Tacoma sr5 no locks 30K coming up and want to change diff oil and tcase, so I am gonna do both front and rear plus t case but im trying to find oil for it as in what oil should I use. I was looking at

$30 mobil 1 75w-90 synthetic gear lube - 1 quart (pack of 2)

mobil 1 75w-90 ls but is that for only LSD trucks?? also contacted ECGS they told me to use non synth 85w-140 for front and rear and ask dealer about tcase. so can anyone help and let me know which oil to buy and what is recommended?? thanks

 

In the back of your owners manual is the recommended oils, amounts, ect. Section 6 i think it is? Its the specs sections. Unless you are running non-OEM parts that is.


Front and Rear diffs are 75W-85 GL-5. Transfer case is

$30 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Lube - 1 Quart (Pack of 2)

75W-90 GL-4 or GL-5. Just buy 75W-90 GL-5 for all and youll be fine.

75w-90 but mobil1 has 75w-90LS and dalvek which one??

 

LS has stuff for the limited slip diff which i dont think you want.

Same mentally I've recently adopted. I doubt I will ever buy a new car again let alone anything in that price range.

 

If I remember right mobile 1 only has the LS stuff now and it was just a marketing thing since the regular could be used in a lsd anyways.
