I also ordered a OEM Toyota 27 group Battery hold down and new j bolts since the stock hold down was about an inch short.

lol awesome. I was stationed in WA around 06-08? when Seattle got the ice storm and had buses going over guard rails. Def not a place that is used to getting or that knows how to deal with ice and snow.

 

I remember those days. Enjoy them.

 

I have an OEM roof rack and the Smittybilt Defender 45454 on a SOS Offroad CONCEPTS aluminum bed rack from @EddyRRT's shop in SC. I had the bed rack custom sized in height and I took my time finding the proper basket so that it sits flush with the OEM roof rack when the arms are deployed.

 

Finally added lights to my rack and got them wired up. This was done a little while ago but I never posted the pic. I went with Nilights on Amazon. The build quality is solid and they were only like $60.00. Switch and all the whole project was under $100, and they are bright AF.





I also added an EDC knife to the drivers side door.

 

Let us know how they hold up as a budget light!

Did 5100s all the way around, set to .65” up front for a bit of leveling.

 

Will do. As of now they have been on since October and no issues. They have seen snow, ice, rain, and very very cold temps in Maine.

Not to knock a “cheaper” light but for the cost, that’s actually pretty impressive. Just looked them up, I was expecting them to cost a bit more. Sometimes that stuff will surprise you.

 

I just couldn't justify the price of most of the name brands. Especially, because they only get used "off road". Time will tell if they can hold up.

Yeah at that price, it’s worth “testing” out. They don’t hold up, the wiring is already done and it’s an easy swap.

Sounds like they need an early Feb run up Mt. Washington at midnight!

Is it me or are these 2 different morimoto xb fog sets? Anyone who has these could you please clear this up for me.
