Looking at the new buttons where the cubby used to be... doesn't the one on the right look like the "Bird's Eye" button like they have in the Camry?

Someone had posted something recently about Toyota sending out surveys on the Tacoma, it was about fancy tailgates and rear step bumpers, wonder if 2020 will have either.

I'm interested to see where they take the 2020,mainly because it will most likely be the year I buy when I save up enough.

Would love power seats, better headlights etc. Car play isn't something I care too much about, but that may be because my Frontier is bare bones already lol

I don’t know... I would be more worried about getting jacked by some old guy with a cane!

I don't know if it's been posted yet but the new truck will have power seats.

Also looks like LED headlamps from the picture that was released

I have a different theory. Toyota didn’t want to pay the royalties and for now correctly assumes that we’ll buy the trucks anyway.

I doubt it’s about privacy, but hey, just one man’s opinion.

What do you need to save up for? Couldnt you trade in your frontier or sell it privately?

Maybe the guy wants to pay cash or simply save for a larger down payment. Not everyone enjoys endless car payments.

Right guess it depends on if they are still making payments on the current vehicle.

If not ot should be more than enough as a down payment i would think. Unless trying to pay cash.

I think Apple CarPlay is a given in this refresh. New grill / headlights , tech, interior, disc brakes. Refreshed

I wouldnt trade my ‘18 in, but as an Apple guy(my wife’s fault), I love the idea of “mirroring” my phone to the cars screen. I drive alot and use Waze/Spotify all the time. Its just cool. And thats what Tech is there for.

If the truck is mostly unchanged then these new parts should easily swap to previous years. I will definitely be looking for used power seats to swap in and would probably pick up a head unit if it had car play.

At this point I just want to see how long they can keep the rear drums going. Telling people my truck has drum brakes makes me feel like i'm in the early 90s, sort of a novelty.

Only thing I'm going to be jealous of so far are these fabled power seats...think they'll offer them in the accessories shop? Just name them "TRD Pro power seats" and they'll fly off the shelves.

It's not that Carplay is so great and that I'm a diehard Apple fan boy but having mobile integration is the way to go, hell, Entune was already dated when it was released.

Can't imagine how bad it will look in 10 years; meanwhile, Carplay/Android Auto will keep innovating, continuously improved apps will be in the market place, etc. If you're a GPS user, how many times have you just used your phone instead of going through the hassle of typing it in letter by letter on your head unit? In a few years I wouldn't be shocked to see all manufacturers get out of the entertainment unit business and just let the computers in our pockets handle it.

Given how little this truck has depreciated, I'd honestly consider trading it in... Also, I sort of regret not getting a manual.
