Eww. Don’t think any are that big but I’ll root through the box tomorrow.

Do you happen to know what OEM part # that is you’re holding? My truck had an aftermarket intake, which didn’t pass CA smog, so i got a factory box from another tw member, but I believe my box just goes into the fender hole from the inside & doesn’t have a curved part that runs inside the fender to get it to the rubber hose connecter that comes with these kits?

Mine did the same thing, I didn't have the inner tube inside the fender. Ended up getting one off of a TW member on here that didn't need it. You can order it through most parts depts. I think I remember it being like $40. Or make a thread on here and see if anyone has one laying around that they don't need after installing a CAI

below taken from camelback toyota -

So the piece that attaches to the airbox and goes through the fender plugging into the stock intake duct (which then connects to the snorkel air tube/hose of course) is :

Do you have the elbow that connects to the tube from the airbox? My truck was missing that as well

Apparently it used to be common back in the day for supercharged guys to remove those parts of the air intake thinking they were restrictive...previous owner took them off my truck and made installing a snorkel a pain in the ass lol. I had no idea until I went to install this thing.

Oh man, I’m glad I already know I don’t have either of those inner fender parts, so it’s not a surprise. Just a pain in the ass tying to get them. I created a thread about trading my Volant CAI + cash for just those two parts.

I’d imagine it’d swap over then.

You were asking if the CAI would work right?

After pricing a 3.5” hole saw and the necessary chuck, I got sticker shock and walked away. I have all the other needed tools but no large, one time use hole saw.

Has anyone here ‘freehanded’ the hole? Dremel, sawzall, jigsaw, hand saw, drill & tin snips, etc?

I’d almost be willing to mark the hole, buy the holesaw, cut the hole in Lowe’s parking lot, and immediately return it. LOL.

That's what I'd do if you don't think you'll use it...they really aren't that expensive, just ~$15 for the hole saw and maybe another $10 for the pilot drill kit? I can't remember what I paid but any hardware store should accept the return if you save the packaging and receipt.

I'd be afraid to freehand cut that hole out but if you trust your skills then go for it haha.

This is true, as a matter of fact now that I think about it, I had to slightly saw off a bit more to one side of the hole I made because it was just a smidge off and not lining up properly. So mine was sort of oblong/oval shaped but yeah it gets covered up anyway
