About to do the accumulator delete. For those that have done it, are you getting to it through the driver wheel well? It seems like a bitch to get to underneath and in the instructions it has me removing the spray shield in the drivers side wheel well. Any help would be great thanks.

This is by the left side of the transmission just to the right of the left side cat. The shield being discussed is a heat shield.

Did not go through the wheel well, came in from the bottom. Removed an exhaust heat shield but that was it, no splash guard.
It took me 2 hours in total, which included some fiddling to get the lines connected (I used the 90* elbow, not the kit). And it was freezing ass cold too. Not a hard job I think there's a total of 5 bolts plus the hydraulic lines to remove.

Also, everyone makes an issue of bleeding this thing, but I just gravity bled, let it drip until no bubbles came out, and it's been perfect.
    YMMV.

Anybody try any 0-60 runs with the 7k rev limit that they timed?

    Funny you ask -

Did a 0-60 run this morning... Since it was brought up at my video I posted. Did not get video but here is screen shot from my OBD fusion app.

I think there's more here is I practice launching, to get into the 7s.

This was actually done in 4wd because the road was damp, but it immediate bogged at launch and I think 2wd with a little wheel spin might actually have been better. I'll try it again this afternoon and see if I can break into the 7s.

For reference, this is in 1.05b 91 tune, and I have the clutch accumulator delete.

Other notes, Motor Trend ranked the auto version of these trucks at 7.1 0-60.. Not sure the manual has that in it but I'm no professional race car driver.

Accumulator deleted. My feelings so far, definitely a noticeable difference. The clutch pedal is easier to press and has more sensitivity to it. There is a distinguishable point when it is engaged and disengaged. For the price it seems to be a solid mod so far.

I know, replying to my own post, lame right?

Been through half a tank or so since flashing 1.05 93. Topped up the other day. Fired up and drove home tonight. Maybe it was just a long Monday and I was beat, but wait, what is this? Attitude? From my mild-mannered Taco? Trying not to be 'that fanboi', but sure seemed to hear & feel a difference. A rough edge, and some moves to go with it. Attitude.

Hope it wasn't just me and continues. Cheers!

Received my files, installed 1.05 91 tune, worked first time. Files are super easy with no need to unzip them, whole process took 5 minutes.
So far very happy with the tune, love the 7K rev limit. No idea on MPGs as I never tracked that close for the first 11k on the truck, but seemed a little better as I just put on 800 Kms on my commute to work.
Thanks Matt. If there is a more aggressive tune later on I will try it as I patiently wait for the turbo kit to finish.

Oh, i was just thinking about this, I burned my clutch a little bit trying to drive in 4H through the snow... Would this help since it seems like the clutch is slow to react stock? Also, does this have any effect on the clutch being super slow and sticky when it's below 20 degrees outside?

I'm so behind, I just flashed 1.04 in December and I'm super happy with it... I'll need to read up on 1.05!

Yes. Engagement goes as fast as your foot.

Folks say that the slow clutch when cold is still the same.
