Any pro owners upgrade springs but keep the stock struts/shocks?

Been contemplating this one for a while, but with an impending front bumper I’m concerned with the extra weight. I really love how comfortable the stock Fox’s are, so was wondering if I should just go to a stiffer spring.

Anyone else done this already? If so I’d love to hear your impressions on ride quality and such. Or if you think just going to an actual coil over should have been done instead?

I'm not going to dig for the thread (think it was an SSO Slimline topic), but someone had talked to Fox about the possibility of changing springs... they advised against it. It would require revalving of the shocks and "trial and error". You'd be better off just buying a different set (selling the Pro's).

FYI, the stock Pro spring is 650 lbs. I got that figure directly from Fox. See email from Fox below for spring specs.
