Hi guys, once again I'm here for your expertise and experience, and I always appreciate it!

Which LEDS (HEADLIGHT REPLACEMENTS) are the best/most simple to put into my 2018 TRD Sport? I've looked at a bunch on Amazon that are plug and play and saw a positive review for Auxbeams on youtube (with a 3rd gen Taco). I've also seen some negative comments on youtube about LEDs turning the lens yellow, is that a possibility and why would that happen considering they run cooler? Any thoughts, anybody try LED's that are plug and play that they swaer by? My truck does see quite abit of dirt as well, although not a TRD OR I have aftermarket rear locker and take my truck on trails at least once per month so I'm slightly worried about the built in fan for most LEDs.

Thanks for the input ahead of time!

Baja Designs has some plug and play fog light location and a 30" bar that mounts into front bumper. Pricey but considered the best. After reading it again it seems you mean headlights. Im keeping mine halogen.

Thanks everyone, yea I was talking about headlights, what is your reasoning for keeping halogen? I'm not against it just love the brightness and visual/modern appeal of LEDs

I'm in the middle of it now, although he is only testing one LED bulb so far

The results I’ll share tomorrow in that thread will shead more light on it for you. LEDs do not project in halogen housings, even normalizing for poor output performance. Bi-directional lights have very poor output efficiency and worse distance projection compared to omni-directional ones like halogen and HID.

I'd wait to see if the 2020 refresh which looks to have LED headlights will be plug and play / swapable.

Or look at the TRS/Morimoto new complete LED housing replacements due out soon. At $1300+ they are probably going to be cheaper than OEM.

True, but if OP is looking for OEM support / finish, could be an option here soon.

I’m definitely a fan of OEM. Just providing legitimate options.

Oh agree, and with the recent release of the teaser picture and likely hood of LEDs on the 2020, just wanted to give OP another option to consider too.

I went with they recommended here since they tested in projector and reflectors.

I’m happy with the Hikari Ultra Led https://amzn.to/2QEmIjz

Decided to go with these for the fogs also since they are the same brand and model for color consistency.

This is all my opinion with no scientific backing but at the end of the day these do seem brighter than the halogen.

Against stock they are brighter at short range. Against stock wattage performance halogen, they are not.

Read the link in post #3, in short most of the headlight housing & reflectors are not designed for LED, so they will never perform as we'll as a halogen.
I find it funny how so many people think that the led is an upgrade. A lot of times led lights look brighter when looking at them but the color temp and pattern are not great.
People don't like to admit that they spent money on something that wasn't so good.

Watch that thread tomorrow for some fun empirical evidence and analysis of measured data.

If you want LEDs, despite what everybody has already said, Hikari (LumiLEDs) or XenonDepot Xtreme LEDs I think have been the go to's.

Thanks for the additional details. You have to admit, at some point it comes down to personal preference. My personal preference was LED due to my other two cars, Audi’s, have oem LED. So going from the crisp white led to yellow halogen was more of a detractor.
