I'm adopting a little girl from a rescue in Texas





We are going to meet in Phoenix Az to get her and meet her foster family at the end of this month.

Another lucky little one gets a Great Forever home and Tank gets a new play pal....(as opposed to a pay pal....(smile)) Keep us up on how Tank takes to her and how the new one settles in. It will be interesting to see who becomes the Alpha Dog. My bet is on the Little Girl as she is older and I think Tank will sense that....Got a name yet? Why was she surrendered or what were the circumstances of her rescue. One of my rescues (Boxer) still hasn't come all the way around after 3 years with me and the other 5. Very untrusting of others but once he's touched a couple of times he's okay with it...I still have to be on my guard when adults are around...never with children though. Keep "all of us" in the loop on your new adventures and the new adventures of Tank....

This is my latest Adoptee, Mojo. 4 month old little brindle boy i found courtesy of Legacy Boxer Rescue in the Dallas/Fort worth area. Great bunch of people that I can't say enough about. Second picture is Mojo with his new big sister, my 18 month old female named Bodhi.

I love boxers, almost as much as Rotts. Nothing more to say about that.

 

My bet is the girl is going to be alpha, but she is in a foster home with a labx, a frenchie and 2 bostons and she gets along with all of them just fine and hasn't tried to be alpha there. Seems both her and Tank don't care to be alpha haha so only time will tell.
We don't have a name, will pick it once we get her home. Plan is to get her on the 31st.
Short story is...
She was surrendered because the owners didn't research the breed and she was too active for their family and they also leave the dogs outside during the day time and came to realize that Boston's can not tolerate the weather very well. They had come across the lady who is fostering her right now a few months ago and she'd told them if they needed any help or advice to let her know, well the owner showed up one day asking if she could find her a home. She was not abused, but wasn't given much attention. She's made tremendous improvement in the 3 months this lady has been fostering her. She doesn't have many 'issues' and has a personality just like Tank so we know she will fit in here great and should adjust rather quickly. She may be weary of me at first cause the original owner lady yelled at her a lot, but she warmed up to the foster lady in a couple days. She will probably be Daddy's little girl though which is fine cause Tank is my shadow. But she adjusts to new situations well and does well with all the dogs she meets, so we will get her settled pretty quickly.

Will have to check that out.

Here's mine. My old roommate couldn't take her to the apartment he moved into so I kept her. She's 3 year old blue nose pit. She listens very well, and loves other dogs. I can't lie I've grown really attached to her.
