As far as I know they had 2 Alpha tests that only allowed you to play for two hours two times during two specific days. Then the demo was released and like I said... it's a fucking disaster. So unless they have another demo up their sleeve (which I seriously doubt they do) this next weekend is going to be even worse unless they can pull something out of their ass and quickly.

Exactly, $70 isnt that much money to see if I will like it IMO. If I am out then so be it, I feel like you do on that. I would rather wait and see, I'm not making any snap decisions on EA and Bioware until I see them starting to fuck it up. Until then I'll be the glass is half full guy until I am shown differently.

Not gonna lie guys, I'm thankful I got two games I will be immersed in so if this game truly kicks ass then in time I can look to join the team! Until then, amen to ace combat and resident evil!

Yeah... At this point in time, I wouldn't recommend pre ordering or even buying it within the first month or so. Wait until the game has had a little bit of time to settle before investing in it.

Yeah. Funny how this has turned from the original Destiny thread into talking about everything.

I'll be interested to see what the open demo is like this weekend. You can be sure there's some frantic work going into it as we speak. I pre-ordered a while back and I'm going to stick with it. The gameplay is good enough to keep me around until they fix the other stuff.

Would be cool to play this weekend if you are around in the open beta.

I’ll be around in the beta (demo) if for no other reason to see if they were able to address some of the issues from this last weekend. If they are then it will give me great hope for the game. If not. Well... we’ll see I suppose? My personal opinion is it will be the same demo and the only “real” thing they may be able to do is optimize the servers better. I don’t think they have another demo standing in the wings as it would require a complete rework of everything. If the servers are stable and you are able to log into the game and are able to stay in the game I’ll consider that a success.

The game is actually very good when you can play it. So here’s hoping.

My fav thing about destiny is what seems like random updates that are 5+ gb every time. All I wanted to do was play a quick game. But not. I have to wait 20-30 minutes for it to dl. :ballchain:

Well... I don't know how BioWare did it but they fixed a lot of bugs that plagued the game last weekend? Don't get me wrong... It's still not perfect. I've got the blue screen of death twice but other than that, I didn't have to wait at all to log into the game. Played the Stronghold and got one blue screen and one time while just out in freeplay. But considering how bad the game was last weekend and how many more people are playing now for free, it's amazing that it's even up and running at all. But between last weekend and this weekend it's night and day so far. And we're still not playing the final version of the game. So if BioWare is able to fix this version of the game to where it's at least playable it should hopefully be a good indication of how well the final version of the game might be.

What I liked seeing the most was when I played MMO's and they would have server problems for a few hours. The forums would light up demanding a refund for the time that they weren't able to log into the game. "Okay... Here is $.25 off your next months bill lol".

I may have been exaggerating. I thought I down loaded Anthem on Monday but I didnt, down loaded the whole demo in about 20 minutes, so I would say its pretty good :notsure:

I played for a few hours last night. Granted I am still a newb and have no idea what I am doing, but I did learn a good deal, like how to fucking fly!!!! Jesus, that took a goddamn minute of hopping around like I was on meth AND crack....gotta jump and L3....duh....the thing that really popped out at me was once you get in with guys that understand the concept of teamwork, its actually pretty badass. I obviously got in to some expeditions with complete retards that were jumping against a wall, but once I figured out the concept and could function I had a blast. Not to mention I found alot of shit that said "Not available in demo", shit I even got to craft another suit, the white one (which ever that one is). Like you say, if they fixed that much shit in a week from your last report, it seems there may be hope. I didnt once get blue screened out.
I'll be back on after work today.

The flying took a little bit to get used too. But even then it wasn't too bad because it wasn't too much different than Warframe. But as much as I played last weekend and yesterday, don't feel bad, I still fly into shit all the time lol. You can't "craft" a new suit. You have access to a new one at level 12. You can only craft weapons in the demo and certain components for your Javelin but that's it.

This game is made to be played with friends. It is not a solo experience and they certainly didn't build it around solo play. So for those looking to play solo... this isn't your game. You might be able to play around in freeplay but it won't be fun solo. There really isn't any comparisons to be made between Destiny and Anthem. They are completely different games. Anthem is closer to Warframe with the ability to min / max your character. That's something that you can't do in Destiny at all but you can go nuts in Warframe. Anthem falls much closer to Warframe than Destiny in most all regards. If you have a team to play with, the game is a fucking blast (and we're playing a much older build of the game). Even just playing the one Stronghold that is available to us requires great teamwork if you play on normal or hard mode.

As far as the game itself goes... I can't believe that they haven't had much trouble this weekend. I only got blue screened two times yesterday and that was it. I've been able to log in with no issues, no rubber banding, no one getting kicked, etc... If they can make this change in an older build this quickly, I have great hope that BioWare will be able to support this game very well. Almost none of the problems that affected the game last weekend are present this weekend. If you would have told me that last week I would have called bullshit. But I would have been wrong.

I got a Division 2 code for the beta and downloaded it but I still haven't logged into it. I just can't break away from Warframe. The further I get into the game the more I realize how much there is to do in the game and how much I haven't even scratched the surface of the game. I've preordered Anthem and I'll play it. But I've got a strong feeling that the entire time I'm playing it I'm going to be wishing I was playing Warframe. I think Anthem, over time, will become a good game. But it will never ever be as deep as Warframe. Anthem stole so many things from Warframe that the Dev stream from DE are throwing shade at Anthem because of it (in fun). It makes a little bit of sense, since Warframe came out about the same time that Anthem started development.

Anthem will be interesting with the storyline and the gameplay. But it is basically Warframe lite. There will be customisation that you can do in game but it will cost real world money if you really want the good stuff (or you could grind for who knows how long to get those items?). That, to me, is unacceptable in any game that you have to actually buy. Microtransactions are the norm now and they won't go away until people STOP BUYING THEM! Warframe... you can get everything without spending a dime on the game and the Warframes and weapons are aquireable if you really dig into the game and figure out exactly what you need to do to get those items. It takes a lot of time, effort, researching, getting those items you need, and building those items. But it's worth it.

We'll see how Anthem plays out but I've got a strong feeling that I'll still be spending most of my time in Warframe.

On a side note... I completely deleted Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 off of my PS4 as I have no intention of ever logging into that game again.
