If it's just headlights, power seats and carplay.... I'm going back to sleep.

There's definitely going to be an earlier refresh. There's too much competition, and Toyota wants to move all their vehicles to the more modern manufacturing techniques of their TNGA.

The Ranger and the Colorado are on Global platforms. That's a key disadvantage for the Tacoma.

I assume it'll have TSS 2.0 as well. The adaptive cruise is my favorite feature from my 2nd gen to my 3rd. However if it worked in traffic at lower speeds like tss 2.0 I'd be so much happier.

Although I would have like apple carplay and LED headlights, I'm not too upset if these are the primary changes, not digging that headlight design either too much. I just worry that they updated the lower lip, since the picture is cut off as in they are waiting to reveal that last bit.

I'm not seeing anything that would get me to trade. I'll hold out for 2025 with factory turbo, 7MT, front/rear lockers and 35's with no cutting. I heard they are bringing back the regular-cab with V6 as well.

That is why you should reduce speed until you have nice balance of speed and available power for pulling the load. Trucks with trailers shouldn't be going 70+mph anyways for safety reasons alone.

Hopefully the build quality is better than my 2017.

I think aftermarket leather is better in terms of it can be customized better. Meaning two tone leather colors. My limited experience has shown the quality of after market to be at least as good as factory, if not better. My limited experience is with katzkin (I think that's the name).

That makes sense. OEM leather is just a small part of the product in the truck. Leather is the whole product when buying aftermarket.

Yep, the little squares on my seats are already showing wear (only 7k miles right now). The leather is nice, but it wasn't a deal breaker/maker - I just wanted other features of the premium package.

I'm not counting on it, but it would be nice if then entune 3.0 unit could be swapped over to the 16-19. Hard to tell if the footprint of the new unit is larger or not.

OEM LED headlights, if swappable, would be nice to add on as well.

Man, really hoping the entune 3.0 will be a direct swap... then again, it will probably cost $2000 to buy one. Factory stereo is really my only complaint about the current models. I'm guessing it will get a redesigned lower front fascia sort of like how the 4runners got with their refresh in 2014. I'll be pissed if it looks way better! Wonder if they will bring back pyrite or spruce mica colors too... really wish those were options when I bought my '17. They seem to be reintroducing past Toyota truck colors every year or two (quicksand, inferno, cement, calvary blue, voodoo blue, etc).

First post here and not yet even an owner...yet :).

Been waiting for the 2020 Taco reveal as I am in the market for a truck and was waiting for the Ranger and 2020 Taco before making my decision so this announcement is great news for me.

Power seats are a good thing to me but only if there is a memory function otherwise, meh I could do without them. My current car, a Scion tC, has manual adjustment with up and down adjustments and the only time manual adjustment is slightly annoying is when my wife drives the car and I have to fiddle with the seats when I get back in.

Another thing I have wished the Taco had was Android Auto but it was never really a deal breaker for me even though the competition has it. Anyway hope to be an owner in the future and join the club!

I hope Toyota brings back the grab handle on the driver's door .... 1 in a zillion chance I know.

Welcome! Tune in on 2/7 and see what they are unveiling at the auto show. Sounds like there may be a couple goodies to keep you pumped for November when they drop!

The only problem with waiting is you'll never be done. Probably new Frontier the year after. Then new Dakota year after that. Then Ranger refresh, etc.

True as with just about thing that has the potential to change. But for me I have only ever been interested in the Taco and Ranger. Plus when I am ready to buy I will get what I want then and I dont really worry about changes for future models.

That's where I'm at right now. Looking to get into something new pretty soon, and I keep seeing new this and new that pop up every month or so for various vehicles. Hate that I am going to miss out on some neat stuff.
