Kwik Jak

I came across an ad in a 4x4 magazine about Kwik Jak. Anyone here on TW own a Kwik Jak? If so any pros and or cons about it? I tried doing a thread search on TW and didn't come up with any. Looks like a pretty cool lifting device and I'm deciding whether to get it or not. What do you all think about this product?

Looks cool but you better hope the hose dosent go bad

I was also thinking the same thing. What is good about it also is that you can connect standard 3/8-24 CO2 cartridges instead of the larger refillable CO2 canisters.

 

I totally hear you fellas. It's pretty pricey.
Another good thing about it I guess is that it can be tucked away in the OEM jack compartment (replacing the OEM jack).

 

For storage, beats the hi-lift. Think about this though: How often are you jacking up your truck? (i.e., is it worth it?)

 

just mount 1 on each corner indy car style!

 

Hey, I just came across this and I thought I'd chime in a bit.

Looks like a standard air hose. Paintball guys use a similar hose for a remote tank. Also it looks like a standard fitting so replacement wouldn't be bad.
Baja wants $100 which is a total BS price compared to this, which is the same thing and more.

It's Bajadesigns. That instantly tacks on a few hundred dollars. It actually looks less complicated than a standard jack.

I wouldn't bother with the cartridges. A 9oz CO2 costs about $16. The important part about getting a 9oz or smaller is that these size tanks never need to be hydro tested. It looks like they are trying to sell 20oz bottles, which you would have to get tested about every 5 years or replace. Just buy a few 9oz bottles instead.

 

sorry to thread jack but the arb bag jack looks awesome. any body have one of these? and no i did not search i just saw this post and thought i would ask. since it looks like a possible competitor to this thing.

 

The arb x-jack bag is only $50 cheaper, which isn't that much better of an idea. Additionally, it has these drawbacks:
-requires a running vehicle
-has potential to pop (ARB has a warning about that)
-proprietary hose

 

It looks almost too "kwik" to be safe
