You don't have to worry about any glare or scatter with the Xtreme Pro H11 LED Kit as the three Lumileds ZES LED diodes on each side of the light head are positioned to closely replicate the size of the H11 halogen filament will result in proper beam pattern in the Tacoma's projector headlight housing.

I'm still digging them. Like @XenonDepot said, the pattern is solid. I've since added a set into the high beam location and they are great there as well. I would recommend them for sure.

Went up to the Eastern Sierra's about a week ago with 4 other trucks. Had a blast exploring the area. Camped 4 nights and played 5 days. Exploed Casa Diablo, Deadman Creek, Inyo Craters, Bald Mtn. Lookout, June Lake, Silver Canyon, and the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest amkng other places. The Sierra's in the summer are amazing if you have never been.

 

Since we returned home we have already started with more upgrades. We leave on or around September 9th for a one month trip all the way up to the Pacific Northwest. So we are currently trying to dial everything in, specifically trying to make more room for storage in the back of the bed by storing lesser used items elsewhere.


So, the new front roof rack went on yesterday. Then the first of two Plano boxes went on today, the second arrives Monday. Also figured out a mounting for the traction boards. They won't live up there permanently, just when we travel offroad.

 

Less than a week until we leave on a month long road trip. Getting very excited but also freaking out a little.

 

Stupid question but how do you like the Prinsu with the sunroof? I'm torn because I paid for the sunroof already lol

 

I've only had the Prinsu on the front for about a week. So I don't really have a formed opinion about it over the sunroof yet. It definitely blocks it a decent amount. That said I've never used my sunroof (on any of my cars) much in the past anyhow so it's something I'm not to worried about .

 

Mounted the second rifle case today. Here is some pictures of the hardware I used, the holes drilled, and the boxes installed. I'll try and get pictures of the finished product later when the light is better.

Also did the differential breather relocation. Less than $20 and a bit over an hour total time invested. I guess now I'd have to go through water as deep as my bed is high to have the breather fail. By that point I figure I'd have bigger problems to worry about.

 

Wired in the navigation override switch. This tricks the headunit into thinking I'm not moving. Which then allows use of the various settings that are locked out when the vehicle is in motion.



Also added the @hondogarage Big Squeeze tablet mount on a Ram arm. The tablet and mount won't live there permanently, but it'll be nice to have while we're traveling.

Hey man, digging the build! Curious how your grip tape on your sliders has held up? Thinking about doing that or bed liner when mine come in.

 

The tape has actually held up really well. Even with exposure to a lot of dirt, mud, and snow. They haven't lost their coarse texture at all. I would definitely do it again. I'm still using the same tape. I have yet to replace it.

Yes. Even when muddy or wet, even covered in snow they are quite grippy. I'm very happy with the sliders covered in grip tape. Only down side so far is when there is significant ice build up.

 

Flashed over the latest revision of OVTune 1.05. I was getting an idle fluctuation with the original 1.05. Already the idle is gone and overall the truck feels smoother and better mannered. I definitely think Mat changed a few parameters in the tune and it's definitely an improvement over the original 1.05.


Also bought the OBDFusion app and a Veepeak OBD Bluetooth interface to help monitor the truck. Pretty trick little setup so far.

It can. There are plenty of guys flashing their trucks with Mac's. You just have to run a boot loader program that runs Windows inside the Mac OS. It's actually not that difficult. Give it a quick Google

I got a solid deal on the BP-51 kit basically mirroring yours (minus the UCAs). Any updates on how they've been holding up? Did you adjust preload since you aren't running a heavier bumper/winch up front?
