Well, on the AT at least it practically drives itself. At higher speeds

We will test on a MT truck. This stuff is for the MT, kinda useless for the AT it doesn't have Rev hang. I'm using my truck just to understand the code

I bet if Mat offered in the regional/hometown forum for his area he could get a volunteer....1 free tune for use of the truck in testing and development... ;)

before Mat moved coasts we actually tried that on the SoCal forum. weirdest thing ever, couldn't really make it happen. maybe you can see about trying that on the East Coast forum if Mat likes the idea.

    Second this.

Let's be clear - Testing on a M/T truck WITH MAT AT THE CONTROLS. Some of this stuff you need to feel first hand.

I'm almost 1900km away, and my beer/entertainment bill would be pricey.

That and I don't have a valid passport ATM lol.

There might be a degree of misunderstanding here... we WANT decel fuel cutoff. Just want it to keep injectors turned off as revs drop

We DO NOT WANT decel fuel "resume" @ around 1300 rpm like it does now. Let me stall if I want, damn it!

Edit - Also wanted to add I am no longer a bystander and installed the tune yesterday. Barely have put 40 miles on it so I'm gonna only say initial impression is good, if a little testy on takeoff.

whatever it is DFCO or not, we want engine braking and not the herky jerky on / off weirdness it does right now. it grabs a bit then lets go and is super annoying.

Curious if it was like this on the 2nd gen with the 4.0 or if it's a symptom of the Atkins and the inherrant ecu management for said style of motor?

If it was there I never noticed it on my 2014.

It was one of the first "quirks" I noticed on my '17.

my second gen was an auto :)mad:) but it could engine brake night and day better than the third gen. I hauled a camper around a few times and it would actually slow down upon downshifting like you'd expect and was predictable

    Stock tuned truck here..

Finally got all the weight off my truck with the exception of the 33" skinnies i have on it... Creeping in traffic the other day that fuel cut off thing is a night mare. 1st gear, trying to feather the gas with no clutch pedal engagement and the truck will just lurch. You can feel where the truck wants to coast and then gives it gas, then cuts it, gives it gas etc, all the whole the pedal isn't moving. Thing bucks like a bronco lol.

My stock truck also has a heck of a time starting out on an incline. New neighborhoods has a incline to get out onto the main road and it's embarrassing, i can't get up the thing from a stop unless a I do a large amount of clutch slip.

Not sure if it'll help or notn ot, figured I'd bring to light some issues on the dfco topic on a stock truck so we know there's nothing else interfering with it.

stock tune is obviously the problem. I've had zero problems on every OV tune version and even the Pedal Commander before that. I'm just getting around to the ADM now after over 2 years in the truck.

To be honest I got more throttle response after putting them on. They're way skinmier than the stock lol
