    Too few to list.
At least half if not more Harley riders that I see wears the novelty style helmets. I have several style of helmets and I always wear the full face now.

Thanks for all the good answers guys. The numbers and that article areexactly what I was looking for.

In 2010, I crashed with a full face helmet on and crushed the entire front dome of the helmet. It without a doubt saved my life. I would never NOT wear a helmet.

Yep, full face is the way to roll.

I was rolling along the BlueRidge Pkwy, was like any other Sunday. Beautiful day out and I had already been up and on the bike for hours.

Came up on a pack of Harley riders bobbing down the road at about 50ish.
I followed them for a good while, and noticed one of the riders bikes was super low to the ground. I mean lowww..
well sure enough the bike finally bit into the the ground as he hit a dip in the road around a turn.
A shower of sparks, bike whipped around so hard the guy was now facing me going backwards into the guard rail.
Jesus...I thought what the hell just happened. I put like over 25k on a bike a year so I ride like a some of a bitch and have never seen anything like this!!!

Well needless to say, he was not wearing a full face helmet, and yes I could see horror in this mans face as he smashed into the rail. He broke some ribs and the side of his face was pretty bruised/scratched up.

Me and three other riders stabilized him until medical showed up.

Two things were confirmed. Full face always, and low riders are a no no.

When I crashed I had a 3/4 and the helmets plastic slashed my face. I still have a scar that goes from my cheekbone to my jaw. My beard covers the lighter bottom half of that.

Which is why Harley is dying on the vine. The young kids coming up think the Harley look is stupid. They'll desperately try to stay alive with hip things like an electric bike but in the end the new kids want boutique brands like Zero. Harley needs to significantly shrink if they have any hope of staying alive.

part of the issue is older people tend not to buy new bikes as well. that generation is aging out.

Livewire for $30k. Range is 110 miles.

Looks cool, but after the current bike, I promised myself I will not spend more than 10k on a bike. Also will not buy a new bike. It has been nice, but not for me anymore

not a bad price. thought it would have been a little more. i dont need a bigger bike than the 690 although it probably pounds pavement a little better

I am 6’2 265, so there ya go. I had a 690r and it was a nice. I kinda wanted to Offroad one of my sv650 for awhile. Lol.
I just wanna give this one a shot.
I wish I could get a 500 already tricked out for long distance.

the 500s are definitely nice. im 5'10 180 so the 690 can be a little high for me as is. the 500s hold up well for multipurpose riding, but i dont think theyd be a bike for a day of highway (which is something that has to happen if i ride my bike on trips) hence my 690 choice

There's always the modular helmet for a touch more comfort. Can always flip up at low speeds or stopped.

Harley would have been smarter to start a subsidiary co. called Livewire that had little to no connection to HD and sold cool electric bikes. Millennials would have been more likely to buy them. Their ego will be their demise. Real Harley riders don't want an electric bike and new riders don't want a Harley. The Harley Livewire does not solve either of those problems.
