I see that younger people really like the 19 Tacoma. I swore I would never own a Toyota, much less a 4 door Toyota truck. In the last 1o years I've owned 3 Corvettes ,a Prowler, 3 BMWs and a retractable fastback MX5. I sold my Silverado standard cab and bought the 19 Tacoma without even driving it. I have to say , I love it. it's smooth and quiet and feels heavy and has everything I need in a vehicle. I think I'll hang on to this one. Even the gas mileage is better than the Silverado. Insurance rates dropped and I'm well pleased. I've owned over 100 new cars or Trucks. (4 kids) This Tacoma is near the top of the list at as a keeper. I'm 72 so you can judge for yourself about my coments. Just saying :sadviolin: Below are some of the cars mentioned.

The Prowler was the most eye catching of all. Great touring car and fun to drive .the 255 hp V6 is plenty enough. Tranny and rear Diff in the rear ,engine up front. High speed driveshaft directly off the engine. I had it 6 years ,priced to high on Ebay to see how high the bid would go and had a buy it now price which was way to high . It sold in 20 hrs.

155hp 13 to 1 compression . redline 7800rpm The tractable hardtop is a one of a kind. The top does not fold in the trunk . The buttress goes up and then goes back down when the top folds down. The buttress or fastback stays in it's original position. The interior is small.

I'm going on 34, so to you I'm probably a kid. haha. Anyways, I've owned one of each generation of Tacoma. I used to rag on a buddy of mine that liked Tacomas before I did. I was a diehard Chevy , Ford, Jeep kind of guy. I've owned quite a few vehicles since 16 years old and there's a reason I just bought a brand new third gen. They are great trucks and as anyone who is truly an auto enthusiast knows, every make and model has its quirks. It's a machine after all. I had a 2004 regular cab 4x4 auto, a 2010 regular cab 4x4 5 speed and now my new one. This one is a Cadillac compared to the basic models I had so I plan on keeping it for many years. Last one I held on to for 9 years and 150,000 miles......I plan on hitting at least 10 with this one.

I got rid of my first one at about 140,000 miles but that truck was wheeled pretty hard. Still ran great. My 2010 I bought brand new (first new off the lot vehicle) and traded it in on this one at 149,000 miles. Still ran perfect and looked good as I take good care of my vehicles. Only got rid of it really because I'm at the age where I work my ass off and comfort is important now. I also have a baby on the way so the back seat was needed.

They are rated very high according to almost anything you read about trucks. If mine blows up .I'll be really upset. The dealer has a lifetime warranty on the drivetrain IF you have them change the oil using Toyota filter and oil and a Toyota air filter every year. I'm guessing the oil change will be high :annoyed: I think Ill buy the skid pan to go in the front and make them earn their money.
