That Roadster, is a 4 passenger production car. If you have the coin. But it is reasonably priced. $200k

thought it was a coupe - not a sedan.... getting so that it matters not. But my son (could have been rich) wrenched BMW for a while, and they had several "4 passenger" cars you could not put a pet in the back seat!

I will just remove my criteria, and call it the "fighter jet acceleration scale", and if you get to set in any on them, then you can probably put the Roadster at 12/10, with real fighter jets at 20/10. You will pull G's in all of these, and the G is instant compared to combustion.

Actually, YES, they come fully charged!!!:rofl::rofl: And includes the base garage charger running off AC from the house. You could buy a Tesla wall for solar, or a new Tacoma...

If Home Depot sold them they’d have the bare car option for sure.

You definitely understand this better than me, and this is obviously a copy and paste on my part!

    First we convert the final speed to M/s. 1 mph is 0.447 M/s so: (60 mi/hr)*((0.447 M/s)/(1 mi/hr)) = 26.82 M/s
Then we find the change in velocity over the 1.9 seconds to find acceleration: (26.82 M/s)/(1.9s) = 14.12 M/s2
Now we divide the acceleration of the car by acceleration due to gravity [9.8 M/s]: (14.12 M/s2)/(9.8 M/s2) = 1.44 G’s
Edit: this is just average G force over the 1.9 seconds, peak G force would have to be measured directly in a test.

:anonymous:. Actually no, I don't. But I read an odd variety of stuff. years ago, I think it must have been Mongoose and the Navy staged an 1/8 mile drag with an F-15 and his funny car. On a carrier. I remember that the 1G level was instantaneous in both on launch, it increased at almost the same rate for both, getting to 1.5 at the end (due to distance). The jet continued obviously, take off is somewhere around 2G, and of course when they go vertical....holy crap.
Your average G over the course of acceleration is probably very good. The long lost point was that the Prius (power mode), Tesla (any) are going to silently pin you to the seat with probably a little over 1G when you nail it. I know internal combustion certainly can, but for those that want to argue, go back to the drag video, and watch the launch carefully. You will see the electrics are immediately faster of the line. While everything you see will put you back in the seat, it is the instantaneous aspect of the electrics that is so exciting!

Yea, the headrests in that Roadster are there to help keep from snapping your neck. My Lexus is only a 4 cyl hybrid and a heavy heavy sedan but in sport mode, you definitely sink into the leather seats very firmly. I can only imagine (because I will never be able to afford it) what 1.44 G's feels like. I would most certainly be willing and not afraid to find out though.
