I love my smoke also. The manual says not to use below freezing. Have you tried it much below that?

3 racks of ribs and a brisky flat i think. Trying to use what we have in the freezer.

I’m playing wii. The boy didnt have school again, so I stayed home with him again. Cable is worthless these days. After the NHL season is over, I’m getting rid of it.

I'm going to smoke a pork butt for carnitas tacos. Will grill some shrimp and/or salmon for the pescatarian in our group. May do some poppers/buffalo turds too

I SO want a chamber vac sealer and have looked at them for years. If my kitchen was just a little bit larger I would, don't really have room for another cart in it right now. Have a Weston commercial sealer with hose attachment for mason jars to seal liquids. But not even close to the same as a chamber vac. Jealous....

Supposed to warm up here this weekend, and snow, rain and sleet. Still want to do something but not sure what. Going to have to warm up, a LOT by then LOL.

If it really does hit 40° this weekend I am putting on shorts and a T-Shirt and smoking something, don't care what right now. Wings. Need to do wings.

Yes by a lot, no problems! I saw that on line before I ordered it when I looked at the specs, one thing you learn living where less than 10% of everyone else lives. Was going to send them an email about it and read through the questions and someone else had already posted a question about it and they lived in Mn. also. Reply was that it would function at below freezing however don't store it outside. So I keep mine by the door going out to the deck.

Absolutely love my smoke. I think part of the reason they say the specs they do is that liquid display screens can freeze up and lock up when the freeze. My Garmin will not work below zero and even my BBQ Guru ATC with 3 probes plus pit will stop displaying down around zero. Can still control it with WiFi though. The Smoke has never locked up on me even down to zero and a bit below. Have the WiFi gateway for it but honestly haven't bothered to set it up yet. Being Radio Controlled instead of BT I get a signal anywhere in the house with it  Did I mention that I love my Smoke?!

Awesome, thanks for the info. I was gonna do a pork butt last Sunday, but didn’t want to do it without my smoke so I didn’t smoke. I’ll have to give it a shot!

At 50% off, I’ll be fine if it works for a year.

I did catch that in the description as well.

I bought to back up my fireboard. I bet it works fine. Not much more than a pocket temp probe.
    Thanks

Did some smoked pork chops tonight. Just a simple seasoning salt then on to smoke for a half hour then up the temp to finish them off. Picky daughter vacuumed hers down so I guess they were good. :)

It’s always good to see them gobble it down. The boy ate all of that loin last night.
