Just a silly question but doesn't the hitch under the bumper technically kill the HC part of it??

What does that have to do with chopping off a chunk of the bedsides?

Well, went to start the bitch tonight and it clicked over twice. Hooked up the jump pack and it still took two cranks before it started.

Wife's car was fine in the garage, however.
I'll chalk mine not starting to the fact that it's still -40* and we broke a record set back in 1994. The bitch has never seen this cold.

Battery is pulling 14.1 volts according to the scangauge. Definitely looking into a battery blanket for once we move.

Going to charge up the jump pack and give it to the wife tomorrow. I'm still off work tomorrow and really have no where to go. I can Uber if it came down to it.

Going to let her run a bit more off the remote start from the house and then again tonight before bed. I'll see about even starting her tomorrow morning in the event I need the truck. I shouldn't but I rather the wife have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

That kind of cold could kill an ice cube, much less a battery

If it's just clicking even with a jump pack it could be the starter

you are not entirely wrong. but 1- im not getting a HC cuz I need a HC, its cuz I might as well since my bedside is bent and bumper is fucked lol 2- I don't want to have to fold down my license plate to tow lol its just how I want it haha

is that's right after starting the truck, wouldn't that just be reading the output voltage of the alternator and not the battery voltage?

plus it will be welded right to the bottom of the bumper so I don't think that 2'' will really kill it haha but again, you aren't wrong, its just how I want it :D:luvya:<3

Sorry. It didn't click on the jump pack. It struggled to turn over. Switched it off and back on and it fired right up.

Sounds like that battery is suffering the same fate as Randy's

It was fine yesterday and the day before though. Granted, it was no where near this cold.

What about just bringing the battery inside until you need to go somewhere? That’ll keep it warm.

I think @inesshell installed a heated battery blanket that sits under the battery
