Doesn't help if the settings you want are in those 5 percent... Like the seat belt chime and 5 blinker flashes.

I may have come across a copy of Carista that doesn't need the license. Will let you guys know when I find out. Can't test it because I don't have a dongle thing. I think I'm gonna order the BAFX.

If you thought crashing your car was fun, now try it with even more death!

I'll pass. It's the only reason I put the bastard on.

I am just surprised Toyota did that. Most of us who wheel do not have our seatbelt on when driving slow or going over things. I think in the Toyota videos they have they already disabled the chime

Sometimes you gotta hang out your window but then if you brake the belt locks up you are stuck to the back of your seat.

This has been going on for years with every vehicle. Year ago people fastened the belts and just left them fastened and just sat on them. ( "don't be caught dead sitting on your seat belts") If I knew how to disarm them I would not touch yours I may tell you how to do it but that's it and I understand why a dealer doesn't want to do it. My Great Dane rides with me the thing dings and says your dog is not belted then stops and we can then ride in peace.

My truck dings for ever. I am no on way saying drive without your belt on , just saying I am surprised Toyota didn’t have the option at the very least in 4 wheel drive or low even

For the love of humanity the dealer has no legal repercussion if they disable a "Seatbelt Reminder Chime".

What kind of mindset would place a reminder chime as a necessity for one being a safe and secure driver? It's just for idiots who also need to be reminded that McDonalds coffee is hot by their having to write it on the outside of the coffee cup.

P.S I hear that there is a anti-choking law in the works that will make all smartphones shout out "YOU ARE NOT READY!" if you haven't reached the appropriate food to saliva ratio before you swallow. Don't even THINK of trying to disable it!

I just have one thing to say why can’t we just let natural selection happen on its own. Personally I don’t need a darn chime. Give me back my washer fluid low level light lol

Well this is why Mac D's got sued if they can pull that off sure as hell some dealer will get sued if you crash into a tree and you were not reminded to put your seatbelt on and your lawyer found out with visions of dollar sign dancing in his head. My 11 justs gives up after a minute or so. I used to rally race and have rolled on some pretty gruesome wrecks I don't even back out of the garage without the seat belt on. I have tried but to no avail to get the Great Dane to buckle up he just doesn't get it fortunately he is tall and heavy enough for airbag deployment.

Interestingly, just watched a show that talked about that... Come to find out the whole thing isn't nearly as stupid as we were led to believe... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNWh6Kw3ejQ

Was the first thing I did on both my 08 Tacoma and 18 Tacoma after delivery... just before ripping that hideous chinstrap off.

I was at a fast food drive thru today, and took my seat belt off to get my wallet out. It beeped till I came to a stop, then it stopped beeping.

Same thing on the beach, when I came to a stop it stopped beeping, and never started back. Speed limit on the beach is 10 MPH...not sure if that had anything to do with it.
