Best of luck with that, I hope it lasts if you’re lifted.

I need to keep mine from smashing into rocks as best I can and yeah a one piece on the DCLB is going to be interesting. Definitely only going to run 2 piece on my rig.

Mines not DC, but I like it so far. I still need to adjust the angles.

@aleccolin does this list work for dcsb 2wd? I see you were specific on the carrier bearing. Thank you for the hard work print this list together.

Since my vibes are gone, I only catch up on this thread intermittently. After trying many of the things in this thread short of a new DS, I went with a flush and a new valve body. Curious if anyone else has tried this.

For those of you running Double Cardan 2 piece shafts, what angles are you running? Is everyone running the Diff Pinion parallel to the Transfer case Pinion?

Just ordered 4" single-piece from Tom Woods. I guess we'll see how it goes!

Regearing to 4:10 next month, which, according to Troys calculations, would have been just over the critical speed of a 3.5" driveshaft at 75 mph.

Driveshaft is in. Also put in 3.5 degree shims. Take-off vibes are 95% gone. If I accelerate hard I still get a very slight vibe, probably axle wrap. But normal acceleration is butter smooth.

I completely removed the crossmember for clearance.

I should have done this 2 years ago.

Threw in the 4.10's this past weekend. There's no noticeable wobble at ~70mph. Seems solid.

I just ordered Billie 5100’s front and rear to get rid of my space lift. I concede, y’all were right - I should have saved and done billies in the first place. Damn my ignorance and arrogance.

im about to bite the bullet and buy a Tom woods single piece shaft too.... im sick of this tremendous vibe. Can I just get a good consolation from you guys that it will likely fix my vibration issues? I want to be done with this - shimming and CB drops did nothing and I just want it settled. Tom himself emailed me back saying it doesn’t always fix it but they have had good success... I don’t wanna drop $470 if it’s not pert near guaranteed to fix my issue... any one who can comfort me to take the plunge? Also, does he accept PayPal by chance?

Totally off topic for a second. I noticed you have black center caps for your TRD beadlock wheels. Where did you find them? I'd prefer that over the shiny ones.

To confirm the use of a 1 piece I have had a TW 1 piece in my 2009 Tacoma for nearly 6 years and no vibes.
Its 67.25 flange to flange length and 3.5 in diameter with u-joints both ends (Type B), mounted with the slip end in the xfer case for more protection.
The existing center carrier mount left after you take the 2 piece out is not in the way of anything. Driveshaft angle does not hang down lower than 2 piece.
Running rear Dakars about 3" lift and 5100s with stock front springs and the 5100s on 2nd groove from top (about 2" lift). Stock a-arms alignment fine and no steering problems, running 265/70r16 Michelin LTX A/T2s (will be getting 3rd set soon). No gears changed as stock tire size. Full 3/8" steel skids cover all from All Pro and Budbuilt (gas tank).
No problems here running at any speed or when towing. You can try many things and read about fixes forever on the 2 piece shaft - so good luck.

Putting this up again...still curious if the one piece shaft reduces any rotational weight with a 1 piece shaft compared to oem.
