Sure, but I'll probably add spacers. I want the inside edge of the wheel just about 1" inside the fender.

You never know but I wouldn’t hold my breath. How cool would that be though? There would be some pissed off people including the ones trying to slowly develop an aftermarket turbo already. Lol. It isn’t gonna happen, but man wouldn’t that shake things up!

If I was a betting man it would be a turbo or supercharger . Probably a turbo . Those are also jeeps moves in the jl.Lets just hope for a turbo diesel and not a turbo 4 gas. The new wrangler turbo gas 4 sounds like a Nissan Sentra. The pic would hide a intercooler . Unfortunately it would probably be a twin scroll turbo on a 2.0ish 4 banger.

I mean the teaser says there is a new wind blowing.

    Windy city

A lot of people are really ambivalent about that handle. I use the one in my 2'nd gen every time I get in and out of my truck mainly because I wear stiff work boots. Because of my height I can't straighten my legs enough to get in / out without hitting the clutch or brake.

    Damn $500 boots

While that is true, the Land Cruiser has an 8 spd is essentially a rwd/4wd with an center locking diff to have ft 4wd in addition to part-time. It would easily adapt to the Tundra. Not sure about the Highlander transmission.

I'm most excited to see the new frontier. I'd probably never buy it, and im 90% sure it'll be an utter disappointment to me.

BUT I consider it most likely to retain a standard trans and not become a bloated monstrosity.

Cool. I know I haven't seen any incentives around here. But I am in the SET reality distortion field. The dealership calls me monthly wanting to 'buy' my truck and put me in a brand new one for the same payment. No thanks; it's almost paid off.

...^^^... I live part-time in Thailand and the new Frontier (and Ranger) and have been in Thailand for a while now. It looks better than the present US model, but not for me. The Toyota HiLux rules in Thailand.

I had an older Datsun and a Nissan Frontier and a Titan. The old Datsun was the best and I will never buy another Nissan. They are OK, just not as good as a Toyota.

A new 8 speed automatic transmission would be sweet especially since most complaints about the 3rd gen have to do with the current mis-shifting transmission. As far as the Highlander and Land Cruiser transmissions go, I wonder if the Tacoma Atkinson cycle engine creates a bigger hurdle. Or maybe a new transmission will increase MPG and HP even more. Who knows..
In conclusion, I predict updated electronics and LED lights is all we get for 2020.

If so then it has changed since last I heard, but I don't keep up with Ford news very much so that is certainly possible.

The second to the last time i was in for the rear diff howl I got to taking to the shop foreman about the harsh downshift and what not. He said to be thankful we don’t have the 8 speed from the highlander in our Tacoma’s. He said some of those clunk and what not worse than our 6 speed auto. However, he did say the #1 complaint overall still goes to our Tacoma and its harsh 2-1 downshift lol
