Wanting to go bigger

Well that big is not for me but I'm sure if a 2nd gen can then a 3rd can. Build what makes you happy but just make sure it's done correctly. Do lots of research and do it right. It's your truck so enjoy it.

I got lucky, a guy bought this truck had it for a month and traded it in for a tundra and I ended up paying alittle over 30 for a fully loaded 17 Tacoma with 3000 miles. Figured I wouldn’t find a deal better than that

 

At a loss for advice here.
I’m guessing dude pulled up and was like mines bigger. And didn’t care much that yours was newer. So now you want to be bigger than him. So you’re newer and bigger.
Then he’ll be impressed. Maybe buy you dinner? I’m not sure.

 

Take it down to Ekstensive metal works in Houston. The one that's on Motortrend tv (old Velocity) He build shit like that, all the time.

Someone is “OVER “ compensating for something

 

Little backstory, I built this with the intentions of getting into off-roading with It but was faced with the hard reality of off-roading your daily driver and your only vehicle.. now honestly the most I do with it is drive on the beach, some hunting trails and the occasional mud hole. I honestly just would like the wow factor of a bigger set up at this point

look into bullet proof 12" lift. and ignore everyone who posted their opinion on the 2nd gen. you do you. half these clowns got trd off road trucks for the same reason you want a big truck...for looks. aint nothing wrong with either. bunch of mindless clones on this site. in my opinion, however, 37s look a little too big for a tacoma. again, just my opinion.
