I broke a couple of the factory tabs installing them, they're so weak and brittle. Maybe the cold didn't help either. Passenger side is perfect, driver side binds up. I'll have to do something tomorrow maybe.

Aftermarket is ok but I'm not sure about quick disconnect

 

I walked passed an rx-8 the other day with the steering wheel on the dash and it had stock seats

 

Do these turn on by pressing on the panel (like the stock lights), or do you have to use the tiny hobby-store slider switch?

 

maybe your cable is seizing up or latch is (like mine - I drove around for 2 days with the hood bouncing around because it was too cold and I was too lazy to do anything about it...). spray the shit out of the latch with WD40 - might help.

 

yeah, disabling safety devices is not a good idea... will definitely set off a warning light.

 

The latch under the hood ? Okay ill give it a go thank you

 

They turn on by pressing on them like the factory lights, the switch is so you can change from white to red.
