I was planning on doing square tube straight to the frame with small gussets on the top side, is this a bad idea?! I need more info!

You said heavy load on the sliders caused stress on the frame, even though the slider is mounted at multiple points. Where as a jack lifts 70% of the vehicle weaight from one point or a car lift will make contact at 4 points and I have yet to hear about anyone’s frame suffering damage from either
