Yea the Mojave trail is pretty flat, except some of the eastern areas.

This was the only time I got to use my rear locker so I was SUPER excited hah

Lol. Man I feel ya. I'm itching or use the locker or the new crawl!
But MS is so damn flat. Gonna have to travel to find anything.

Will be updating this thread more after a LONG hiatus from TW :)

Here are some updated pics from a Bald Mountain/Shaver Lake run late last year. Great trail, lots of fun.

    More to come

Just picked up some Icon LCA armor set. I seem to ALWAYS smack my LCAs on the trail.

    IconLCA.jpg

Completed the install of these bad boys today. Although each only had 3 carriage bolts each, the outer (shortest) bolt really was a PITA. Had to drill out the hole to 2in as directed in the directions. Full instructions here (linking because ICON sent me the wrong directions haha)

A few protips as well at the bottom of this post.

    Pre Install
    20190210_110625.jpg

    20190210_123746.jpg

Getting "Jacked UP" Need full droop to verify CV and brake line clearance
    20190210_123748.jpg

    20190210_123755.jpg

Needed 2 jacks because of that pesky "gravity factor" Plates positioned and lined up
    20190210_131341.jpg

This outer bolt and nut was by FAR the trickiest to get lined up. Its short by designed to clear the CV, but my god its a bitch to get started. Again, the 2nd floor jack and a few whacks with the hammer helped.
    __Inked20190210_132245_LI.jpg

Here is the left mounted from back. Im not sure what this bracket is for, I reached out to Icon to find out, if anyone knows I would appreciate it. It seems to clear the CV and everything else ok, just suspiciously close. Im tempted to chop it off. See what Icon says.

    Finished product
    20190210_140707.jpg

    Lessons Learned/Pro Tips:
    • Use a small drill bit to drill the outer most holes. Otherwise you need to get the truck pretty far off the ground to get the drill clearance
    • Use a 2nd floor jack (or a buddy) to hold the skid in place while you position it, especially for the outer short carriage bolt and brass lock nut
    • You may need to bang the carriage bolts with a hammer to get the full clearance up through the LCA
    • Be sure to let the truck down slowly and make sure your CV and brake lines clear both at full droop and while standing stationary.
Thats about it, overall only six bolts total, and a bit of drilling but pretty simple for some added protection and that "guchie" ICON look :)

These arrived last night thanks to a buddy passing through Fresno and stopped by All Pro Off-road for me. Saved me 200 bucks in shipping, which went directly to the powder coating shop today. :headbang:

I am interested to see how your slider install goes. I have the same set in my garage waiting for paint and hardware (lost in shipping). Definitely looking forward to seeing them on! Very nice build, btw.

Ah that makes sense. Yea my shocks are only the Icon Stage 3s CO's so I dont have the secondary shocks in the front.

So took a while, but finally got my sliders mounted. They are pretty damn beautiful. Figured I would post a picture while they are still in mint condition. :)

Awesome build, the rig is looking sweet! We work closely with Bernhard (the owner of Leitner Designs) and are huge advocates of his products. The ACS Rack is top notch when it comes to quality and versatility.

For sure, not sure why they think that the Offroad with the 6 foot box isn't worth having on the lots. Best of both worlds if you ask me. I give the salesmen a hard time when I go to Toyota about our lack of inventory.
I also ended up getting rid of the spot and going with Garmin Inreach SE, works great

Added @SCSPerformance Ray 10s. Gotta say it makes the truck look a bit better

    16x8 4.00" BSD 6x139.7 - Matte Gunmetal

Also added another Leitner Designs cargo pod.
