I’m not sure what the ride would be like in the rear if you didn’t run leafs or a block. I have this lift on order and I’m going to run an add a leaf.

These are monotube shocks and will provide the same damping at OE height or lifted (provided you’re not topped out). We note the range is from 0” (factory height) to 1”. And you are correct in assuming the shocks alone will not change the height.

Were these both at the lowest setting? Curious if I can get more if I raise them.

Finally installed the lift. I used an add a leaf in the rear. I got about a 2 inch lift in the front, but the rake seems to be more pronounced than stock. I'm hoping the rear will settle a little.. Now I need to get some wheels and tires.

How much lift did the AAL yield you? And where did you purchase from?

Here's a better pic. The front shock is on the first notch. I'm seriously debating on moving up to the second notch to level it out. I've got a 1/4 spacer coming for the left side and will probably put that in first before I mess with it.

Do you plan on adding weight anywhere on the truck?

I may swap out the steps for some real sliders down the road, but I don't think it's going to make much of a difference in the rake.

Did you leave the over leaf in?

Looks fine man. Rake is a good thing for a couple reasons.

    - braking. Helps a lot
    - load bearing (when you add load it will be level) you don’t want the front sitting higher in the rear, it’s dumb and unsafe (physics)
    - handling

1” in change from front to back is ideal.

Yes, the overleaf is still on the truck. Was it supposed to be removed?

You can take it out and it’ll drop the rear ~1/2”

Like everyone else had said before me, it's a stiffer ride, but not harsh. There's less dive in braking and less roll in the turns.

Mine rides like complete shit. Don't get this setup, use spacers, they're way better! ................ of course i'm kidding, ride is nice, firmer but very smooth. reduced brake dive and body roll, reduced bouncy feeling that i felt mine had stock. i have mine set on the bottom setting, bumping that up firms up the ride, and slightly reduces available downtravel

the rear is likely to settle down a bit over time before the front ever does. you may not be happy if you remove the overload leaf. bumping up the front will also firm up the ride up front.
