It’s in your head. I owned a 2006 dc for 13 years before I traded her in for my new taco. It’s definitely smaller everywhere, I have a LB so not much shorter but still drives and parks like a smaller truck.

I predict LED lights, electric seats and a Prius hybrid engine to comply with Obama era cafe standards. They may also include some of those really cool aerodynamic Prius wheels.

I hope the power seats also make seating position more normal. Also hope they add at least 6 in to telescoping steering.

The V6 hybrid puts out a lot more horse power than the N/A V6.

What a crappy design. It should be way down lower, not blocking your view.

Since this is a minor refresh, with the timing, Toyota got caught with their pants down and just needed to upgrade the Entune. There's probably too much shit in the way they'd have to move to make it lower. Next Gen will take care of that.

Again, your head isn't going to be below the steering wheel while driving, so... it's not blocking any of the road.

Your head doesn't have to be below the steering wheel for it to block the road. The fucking thing is higher than the dashboard.

You do realize that is not a Tacoma dash, I hope.

@PrimerTaco posted that pic to point out the Entune 3 unit has the button that can be seen in the teaser vid, leading many to think that the head unit has changed for the 2020 Tacoma.

It is likely there iwll be little change to the dash since the 2016-2018 Entune with JBL and nav is a 7" (or more, I did not go look it up) screen and there is room to either side of it. There may be a need for a slight bump vertically but no to the extent seen i that pic posted.

I expect the 2020 to have no changes in the sheet metal.
Changing the brakes to disc would require a few design changes and retooling, so I don't expect that till the next gen, if then.
There will very likely be Entune3 with is confirmed to have Car Play, last I heard Android Auto was not included yet due to privacy conflicts.
There will very possibly, and per the pic looks to be, changes in the lights.
Likely some minor refresh changes in accessory packages, color, interior trim color/stitching as we have seen each year back to the 1st gens.

The snorkel surprised me as a Toyota accessory, so there may be more changes but I would guess them to be options rather than base specs. The Taco is not designed to be a towing monster so I don't see a brake controller being standard. With he direction most manufacturers are going, and Toyota's prior statements turbos, supercharges, and diesel all seem very unlikely. Hybrid will be offered, I expect, on the 4rth gen about 2025.

Power seats would be nice but I just did a 9 dollar seat mod and raised the rear of the seat about an inch and it made a world of difference. Best comfort mod you could do. I am 5'10" 170lbs and was thinking I may need a new truck because I just got back from a 6600 mile trip and the comfort level was not the greatest. I am thinking now I should be all good for my next long trip.

In NA it's a 6spd, Japan got the 8spd but I can't find the manufacturer or part number.
