    Hey guys,

So I have a chance to buy an 18 PRO for about $42k. Calvary blue.

Thinking about pulling the trigger, but the new 2020 is coming out
    in about 6 months.

Would you go for the 18 or wait for the 2020 with the updates?

I love the 18 PRO the only gripe is the seating position is somewhat off.

I'm 6'2 with a long torso and think that the 2020 could have a better seating position due to the power seats.

hmm power seats are definitely something to consider. That said I wouldn't walk anyway on a decent deal on any new Pro.

But is $42k good? I haven't been following TRD Pro dealer mark-ups so I don't know what is considered a steal on these.

Honestly it's your money. Who cares what we all think. If you like the 18 Pro then buy it. Here's the thing. No one knows at this point what the 2020's will be be like. I'd hate to be you 3 or 4 months from now regretting that you held off for a 2020 and wishing you had bought the 18 Pro. We takes our chances and pays our money. Life is a gamble. If you really like the Pro, BUY IT NOW.

if i was in your financial situation, id save my money and wait the 6 months imo but then again we dont know how much the 2020 tacos are going to be priced and the TRD pros are hard to find so id probably pull the trigger on the 18 pro

i agree with JNG buy that PRO fuck it, my dad always said that the first year of new vehicles are always the ones that will have the bugs, next 2 or 3 years down the road they have some not all the bugs fixed from the first year that new model is released.

Why the hell is it a good morning? I'm at work. Battling the frigid cold and equipment that does not want to act right. The only joy I have right now is living vicariously through all of you driving around nice Tacoma's.

Even if you were dead-set on an ‘18 pro, waiting for the 2020 reveal only benefits YOU as you can leverage that in negotiating. If they still won’t budge (the things already a model-year old and will be 2 MY old as soon as the 2020 is revealed) on price then you’ll have to make that decision.

    I’d wait, personally.

If you like the 18 Pro, buy it. Power seats aren’t going to give you more height in the cab (well, maybe a fraction if designed correctly)... once the ‘20 comes out, people will be talking about the ‘21, and speculating about the 4th gen. It never ends, just buy when you see it and like it... don’t anguish over what could have been or will be (live life now).

Are you going to complain about poor throttle response and hunting for gears on that?

    I kid, I kid!
