Ya, not the greatest nights sleep. But if you get the tension just right and situate yourself appropriately, it is tolerable.

Love getting ready for a trip and shit starts going wrong. First the baby monitor breaks and have to fork over $200 for a new one. Then go to copy the kids BC and SS cards at 10 tonight and printer is out of ink. At least tomorrow I’ll be driving to SFO during the morning commute and stuck on a plane with a 5 month old, 2.5 year old and 8 year old for 6 hours....this is going to be interesting.

Snowboarding. I overshot a tabletop bad. Cleared the landing ramp completely. So basically fell 25 feet and boom. Compression fracture

Honestly, I think the exhaust fines have been a long time coming. I’m fairly young, but even I remember living in my area and the only really loud exhausts I heard were motorcycles, or the high school kid in the clapped out square body GM with a worn out Flowmaster.

Then at some point, modding became a lot more mainstream and trendy, especially in he cheap to buy, cheap to mod, cheap to drive and insure import crowd. Now I see more obnoxious diesels than I do anything else, and it’s the same “floor it from light to light” types that did the same with the square bodies and old Ford’s.

Exhaust noise used to be sporadic, now it’s constant, and the groups that helped get this fine become law are the ones that want it as loud as possible. That shit should be monitored, IMO.

Fucks things up for the guys that did nothing wrong? Absolutely, but that’s how it always goes. A few bad apples spoil the whole bunch.

High HP muscle cars can be just as annoying, there’s just no need for excessive noise. Not on the residential streets or main drags downtown. They sell exhaust cut outs if someone is so inclined.

Can’t count how many times I’ve had to stop a conversation for 10-20 seconds and wait for some fucking asshole to pass by me, and they’ve come in all forms - diesel, motorcycle, truck, car.. way too loud is way too loud.
