Ah damn man, I'm all about some ramen although I always request to not have the sprouts. Yea man if you get SLC that would be a good spot, I was trying to move there just so I could creep in on @Gunshot-6A myself.

I used to do that. But now new job requires me to use TW in the bathroom.

So this is where most of my work gets done.

Haha unfortunately I will be rolling to cali during that time frame or else it would be going down. On a serious note we should plan something that works for you.

    Best day ever!!

Truck went into shop yesterday. Got bumped up on list because the dealership didn't want me to have extra rust. Should be done today.

So if you want work done, drop truck off stripped, and call them 2x per week for 2 months. :D

Glad to hear the truck is coming back soon - make sure everything checks out and they actually tighten the bed down... saw one locally were they just hand tightened the bed hardware and spent 3 days chasing it.

Also - I looked into the upper arm double shear setup's, this would be something I'd be interested in doing, I wonder though, since I have no welding knowledge, is it required to weld on both sides of the brace or is it okay with just one side?

The one I assisted with was at mobtown, who's obviously a competent welder. They only welded the one side. There's just no way to get to the other side.

Is he asking about right/left side welding? Or engine/wheel well welding?

I think engine/wheel well welding. The only place you could possibly weld both sides is along the parts that run perpendicular to the frame. I don't know if bob welded both sides of this particular spot, as I didn't look too closely when he was done. Definitely didn't do the engine bay side though.

Ah okay I was wondering what kind of wizardary they used if they could weld both sides. I wouldn't mind looking into doing this, especially with the way I drive the truck off road...

Well that's one thing I learned having access to a machine shop and the skillset to do it. Just easier to buy stuff sometimes. I make my own parts however I make sure to limit it to basic stuff or stuff that I cannot buy off the shelf. My time/temper/anxiety isn't worth freezing my arse off outside taking measurements and taking apart the truck.
