I have something else to tell it...

 

I just got a email from work. Not only did they shut down 2nd shift yesterday. They shut down 3rd shift last night and 1st shift today. All because of the demand for natural gas.
They will start up again for 2nd shift today, ya.
In almost 25 years this is the first time I've seen compete shut down because of the weather.

There goes my shorts weather. 4 days of rain.

Oh and had to go back to the architect again, so construction is delayed once more.

They guys doing the roof did me a solid. They covered up the tv dish so it wouldn't get wet. I uncovered it to get reception (silly me) now it isn't pointing perfectly.

Heard several companies were asked to shut down to save gas. Heard GM shuttered 11 plants.

Xcel Energy is running out of gas here, all the gas companies is asking customers to turn down thermostats and reduce electrical consumption also.

Boiler hasn't really stopped running for awhile now. 57 in living room but downstairs zone can't seem get above 52. Boiler hot water lines run through the cement and in the garage. Getting ready to go plug in 2 electrical space heaters in the garage. Last thing need is to have those lines freeze in the cement, stats are both set to 69. Up to -23 now supposed to get up to 23 above tomorrow, fingers crossed. Furnaces and heaters are failing and having issues everywhere around here. Unit heads furnace will not stay lit and it is only 3 years old he just said he is taking PTO rest of the day. No hotel rooms open anywhere around here.

But hey could be worse they recorded -144 deg F in Antarctica in June last year Soo... It could be worse lol.
