I don't ever like to cut my pipe back too far. Maybe 6" or so. Anymore can cause the exhaust gasses to get trapped under the truck when you aren't moving and make its way into the cab.

King, Fox, Icon, ADS, etc are all going to be a very similar ride if setup properly. Some of those mentioned leak and have poor customer service, so they are not praised as much as the others.

for coilovers pick your favorite color, and of course bilsteins will do anything you want to do.

just make sure you order your front springs somewhat heavy if you ever want to add a winch or bumper.

    Only the best.
Dobinsons MRR. Remote resi, adjustable, smooth as hell, and can get front coilovers and rear shocks for just about the same price as what the others cost for just the front. I wheel hard and i like them. I thought about upgrading them but i cant beat them for what i have into them. They have been great.

my decision to run kings came from the fact i got the whole setup super duper cheap.

@InfernoChalupa, scour the used market for months and when someone posts some coilovers for sale jump on them.

my first suspension part bought was fox coilovers I paid 800 then sold them for 1000 a month later when my package deal for kings, leafs, and bumps came up.

Sounds like there are some knowledgeable folks in here.

@BamaTaco56 @whitedlite and others, how does ADS compare to King/Fox/Icon etc in relation to Progressive/Linear/Digressive?

If I have my facts straight, King and Fox as a whole are more Linear/Progressive right outa the box. Whereas Icon/Bilstein are Digressive. Is that accurate? If so, again, where does ADS fall?

Edit: @tweakit88 I know nothing about Dobinsons MRR stuff. Do tell.

ADS is equal to all others, the biggest difference between coilover companies will be customer service. Which i've never dealt with anyones.

don't worry about the mumbo jumbo progressive/digressive. It's not a high performance truck, and I'd be willing to bet it's not that noticeable, similar to how clickers on an OEM replacement coilover is just a bling factor. My personal opinion.

To some level I think it’s noticeable. I’m running the Bilstein 2nd Gen Pro kit on my 3rd gen. It’s definitely a more firm ride than the Fox 3rd Gen Pro. I’m not a huge fan so I won’t be upset when it’s time to replace it. And I likely will be staying away from anything Digressive.

If it’s done right and has no leaks, it won’t change anything about your exhaust other than clearance. I’d recommend an exhaust shop do it since they can make a mandrel bent tube specific to the reroute. I pieced mine together and it was a pain to weld due to all the pieces.

I don’t have a reroute just the chop and it definitely is louder since it’s dumping under the bed and resonates. Mines more noticeable the. A stock muffler bc I have a magnaflow.

So, if I get the Dakar heavy spring kit...and only have about 130-150lbs of extra weight in the rear (bumper, spare 285, hi lift) what is my ride quality gonna be like?

I don’t wanna have a real still rear end while off-roading and be getting jarred around
