    Owner's manual: https://www.ranger5g.com/downloads/2019-Ford-Ranger-Owners-Manual.pdf
Page 259 shows a "type 2" tail light, which looks suspiciously like the TJ Wrangler's. Probably for the chassis-cab trim level.
Page 298 allows alloy wheel lugnuts (probably shank-style) to be used on the spare for two weeks max.
Page 301 shows the wheel studs are 12mmx1.5 like Toyota, but the torque is 100 ft-lb.
Page 303 shows the oil filter P/N Motorcraft FL-910-S. According to Rock Auto, that filter is compatible with 2nd gen Tacomas. That means you can probably use the Denso YZZD3 on Rangers.

Ford went to the laser measuring process about 5 years ago to get rid of most of the fit and finish complaints. I’ve been through the Markham plant in Ontario and they do the same thing for the CUVs they make there.

BTW we won’t be buying a Ranger. Test drove it, it’s a better drive than a Tacoma IMHO. Actually it really reminds me a lot of a 2nd gen with a more modern feature set. Lots of power, the ten speed feels solid like it does in my F150, and the dash feels very much like a utilitarian design was the goal. The truck simply feels like a shrunk down half ton and I got the impression it would do well as a work truck versus a commuter. I like that, it’s a nice change given how most trucks today feel the other way round.

My wife wanted more creature comforts though and a lower stance like her current Escape. After we finished our drive my buddy who owns the dealership pointed out they had a couple of 2018 Edges left and he would be very flexible on pricing. We brought out the double stroller to check it fits. I didn’t realize the Edge has literally double the usable space in the rear over the Escape. Took it for a drive and my wife was sold. We got almost ~12K off the sticker with all incentives involved. Paid 38k for a loaded SEL with the appearance package and full sunroof plus 3 months payments back to us as a cheque and $1K in free gas cards. She’s happy so I’m happy lol. It’s actually the first CUV I’ve been in with a sunroof where my head didn’t touch the headliner in the backseat. I’ll keep my Tacoma until it dies and hopefully by then we will know whether the 3rd gen or the Ranger is a better truck for my next rig.

That’s one thing that stuck out to me when I drove the Ranger was how smooth the transmission was. It to me was actually a tad smoother than the 10 speed in my F150. At highway speeds, it never downshifted if it didn’t need to. Very impressed with it. Now, long term reliability is still a question mark.

Top Tier gasoline is recommended to combat carbon deposits in DI motors. A routine usage of a cleaner through the TB helps as well.

^If the gasoline is injected directly into the cylinder, any detergent/top tier/nitrogen-enriched gasoline won't do anything to clean the intake ports and valves.

Where would you introduce the cleaner? The intake manifold is pressurized from the turbo. No vacuum.

^So how much of the interior did they have to remove to get to it?

I wonder how difficult it is in our trucks too, someone posted pictures of the coolant pipes entering in above the throttle pedal

Probably the whole dash has to come out, which means center console, steering column, maybe front seats... This is why it's important the heater core doesn't leak. One of the things I'm happy about 3rd gen is they no longer use Delphi (division of GM) for the HVAC system. It was a reliability weak point in 2nd gens.

CRC now makes a cleaner that is sprayed through the TB and has shown to clean up carbon deposits. An F150 forum member pulled his manifold off his 3.5EB before and after a couple of treatments and there was a noticeable difference. I will see if I can find a link to the thread. Carbon build up is an issue with DI engines no doubt. I am sure it is part of the reason why Ford changed the second gen 3.5EB to port fuel/direct injection.

with this being the initial release and if things go well which I'm sure they will
I'd bet we'll see some changes in 2/3 years, maybe even get the twin turbo raptor as well.

I doubt Tacoma demand and price will change much either especially with the 2020 refresh.

Plus the fact that a good chunk of midsized truck sales are coming from the slow death of car sales in the US. Overall midsized demand is way up.
