Yeah same...I can't fit the one with the sunroof. That's why I'm looking at this one. How d you like the seat comfort overall?

I have no issues at all honestly.. I use all the lumbar support and took some time to find a comfortable position.

Longest drive one way so far has been 2 hours and it was great. I love the truck! The sunroof was the deal breaker for me on the 2019.. I would've spent the premium honestly for the newer model year (like an idiot), but I ended up getting a great deal on the 18 and I couldn't be happier.

The idea of the power seats coming on the 2020 has no affect on me. If you were shorter (under 5'10) I think it would be worth a consideration since the seat could potentially go higher.. I've seen some shorter people complain about that.

I want the seat to drop down a little so I’m not staring at the headliner while driving. They really designed the seating position for short people.

I am curious to see if the 2020 will have an option to go down.

IMO it couldn't hurt to wait. More than likely you'll come out on top just waiting for it, whether that be from getting a 2020 with whatever upgrades you want, or from a lowered 2018 price, unless there's a configuration that you REALLY want and it's the only one left in your area.

Depends. Toyota has had a couple 8 speeds available going on 3+ years now. If they will swap over it could be great. If it is a newly developed transmission, I agree waiting a year is usually a good idea. Based on how the current transmission shifts, I may be willing to "take the risk" on the new one.

I'm but an aspiring Tacoma owner, so forgive my ignorance . . .

A couple people have mentioned the sunroof makes it hard for tall people. Does it sit lower (into the cab) than the roofline or something? I'm having trouble picturing the head room problem a sunroof would cause.

It takes away about 2 inches of space to fit the sunroof motor etc...

FWIW-The current Tacoma transmission is already paired with a 2.0 and 2.7 diesel overseas. They all have the same complaints regarding shifting.

The seat angle looks lower than the current manual one.
