Not sure if it'll work, but... Learn a lesson from this; if a dog/animal comes out in front of you, just hit it. If not, you'll be in the ditch like in your situation and the animal will run off into the sunset... *Getting off my soap box*

maybe if the dog would pay for the repairs i would attempt to swerve out of the way but other than that... not worth it. Good luck getting fixed up

I annihilated a rabbit the other night... ran past then decided he forgot something on the other side of the road and BAM! I felt kinda bad, but it was a stupid rabbit. I guess I'm helping with natural selection.

I've probably hit about 10 rabbits in the 3 years i've been driving lol. I just hit whatever is in front of me, not worth crashing into a wall or something.

to the OP, is the bed off a 5 lug? I think even the 5 lug beds are the same as yours but Im not sure.

All 6ft beds should be the same: reg/xtra cabs, 2wd/4wd. None look different.

Thanks for the reminder. Next time I see an animal on the road, I'll try to remember not to swerve to avoid it.

Couldn't have been very old. Looked very small. Did the indecisive move of going half way across then deciding to go back then changing his/her mind again. Wrong move, to late. Thump! Poor little critter.

I feel bad for that but it wasn't intentional and no Tacoma's were harmed. It is a hard lesson but a valuable one. You saved the life of a little critter at the cost of damage to your truck. OK. Move on, lesson learned.
