My sliders are powder coated and I still have rock chips coming from the tires.

    "Phil Swift for Flex-Seal here!"

Seriously, I *think* you need something rubbery that adheres really well to avoid chips, but seems like even the best of coatings will get scrapped off if you use the sliders as intended. As for rust, might want to try putting down a few coats of cold galvanizing spray first. Also, urethane is pretty tough stuff, and there are 2-part urethane sprays (probably a pain to work with). Again, I *think* that's what the "Chip Guard" (whether spray or sheet) is on vehicles.

Another rainy day in sunny Southern California. Decided I'd try and fabricate some grille light mounting plates out of carbon fiber before the rain hit. I got them cut out in time to test fit, but the rain showed up so the install will have to wait.

Got my 10K service done, including turning off the seatbelt chime. Also told the mgr about the infamous 3rd gen howl. They're ordering new mounts and are going to call me for install. :fingerscrossed: it gets better or goes away. (P.S. I've read several threads about the noise, so don't derail this thread)

I don't know if it is on my head, but to me it feels a little more responsive. For sure I like the way it looks and sounds.

Bet the guys at the shop loved working on the truck covered in mud. Might want to check the torque on those lug nuts.

On the 28th, I received my BlackVue dash cam, with the accessories and got it all set up. Decided to go with the 750 1-chan, and it was super easy to install. Setting up with the app took a bit of time, but otherwise it wasn't hard.

About to order the muthaload of Baja Designs from Erick and Jay @state48overland

Putting a Demello Alum Baja and Sliders on my TRD Pro. Might as well light it up!

About to order the FJ Cruiser Rear with dual swingouts. It will go nicely with this!
@JDEMELLO designs are trick. The bumpers are crazy reinforced...which is good because I roll out like I am in the Mint400 or Baja!!!

I have been talking with Erick to get some round lights rocking for the FJ, to keep its oldschool vibe.
