Rims, hoe lights, sound system, tint, vent shades. Mostly all cosmetic right now. Can't wait to finally have it paid off, and start doing suspension and performance mods.
I have a 1998 Tacoma sr5 v6 with a 189,000 miles. What oil would you use? It calls for 5w-30 on the cap, but a wise man once told me with high mile's run 10w-30. So I've been running 10w-30 penzzoil high mileage. What do you guys recommend? Thanks.

Mobil one synthetic 5w-30. Btw THERE IS NO REASON WHY YOU SHOULDN'T USE SYNTHETIC IN YOUR TRUCK.

There are countless threads on the subject, but to answer your question, it seems like Mobil 1 Synthetic 5w30 is by far the preferred product. I use Valvoline 10w30 Synthetic blend. Like you, a wise man told me that was the way to go but I am starting to consider the Mobil 1 myself.

5 W 30 ( Dino) and whats on sale, I figure this way if you change it as recommeded in the owners manual you should be ok, regardless of the brand, look at all the traveling sales people that put 40-50 k miles a year on, they stop where ever Jiffy lube, Grease Monkey, bla bla bla, and those vehicles seem to run well over 100K miles. I don't drive the truck alot maybe 5-6 K a year and change it 2 times a year spring and fall.

I use Castrol GTX 5w-30 every 3,000mi. I have yet to be swayed by the synthetic mumbo jumbo.
In your case I'd go with Castrol GTX High Mileage.

I use Chevron Supreme because it's cheap (when on sale at Costco) and it's supposed to be a high quality oil with a good additive package says the people at bobistheoilguy.com.

10-40wt conventional or Synthetic, you can get it at Walmart Cheap. Mobil1 runs around $21 and Castrol synthetic $24. Conventional should be arounf 14 bones.
