Yep. They're like airbags; single use only. Once you crush that foam, it's done its job and it's replacement time.

Boots are my big thing. I got a call that my buddy went down . He was in rough shape, non life threatening though. It was late and his family was far away. So I headed over to the ER so he wouldn't have to be there alone.

He had mid cut boots on . When he slid it just ate it right away and shaved the outside part of his ankle right off. I'm a huge stickler for high ankle boots for that reason. It took about 3-4 months for that to heal

He also cheeseburgered the fatty part on the top of his elbow . Basically when you close your arm and pinch the skin, that was gone .

    Protection is key

I get out of work at 1, but have to pick up my kids from school around 2:30, then I'll be home around 4.

I'll probably leave for Worcester around 9 or 10. So I'll be closer to I-90 if that's easier.

Yeah, a guy that I used to work with dropped his $400 Shoei down a flight of stairs while he was juggling his gear, that was a rough bill for him

I wouldn't dare put an extended swingarm or wide tire on. She might be a big girl but I like to lay it over in the corners.

I was dicking around on Craigslist and every hayabusa listed on there looked like it was an extra vehicle from The Fast and The Furious

Mine is pretty much stock. When I bought it the previous owner already put the exhaust, custom triple tree, grab bar and kick stand - because the bike is lowered about an inch. I like the look and I don't see many with this color combo. It's used a lot during the warm weather to commute to work in Worcester.

    Mine is black.
Mine looks like the black one you have pictured. I bought it in 2006/2007 so they may have updated the design. Mine definitely has plastic sewn in on the elbows and shoulders, it's not comfortable to wear just walking around because the plastic is made to have your elbows bent. The back is just foam though.
Boots is probably the one and only thing I'm not great with, admittedly. I always wear gloves, helmet, jacket and jeans but I do ride with sneakers. That said, my 'sneakers' are something like a Columbia or North Face hiking shoe, leather upper and a more rigged sole. Especially with the dirt bike, I need something with a solid sole on those metal pegs.

Should I post the pictures of my foot again from the time I made sweet, sweet love to that Dodge Omni? I was wearing CE approved, fully armored TCX race boots and pretty damn glad I was. Still have no feeling in the side of that foot and likely never will again!

Nope, full admission, I do know better. I need to invest in a decent set of boots I can ride in. All my boots are construction or winter boots that don't flex enough for riding. I grew up riding in sneakers because I didn't know better at the time. I was out riding trails constantly wearing jeans, a t-shirt and a helmet and that was it for riding gear. Once I got my license for the road, I learned about everything else and have gotten a lot better but the boots haven't really caught on with me yet.

Boots are a pain in the ass!
They should have a boot store where you can go try on and try on your bike.
I've returned to many boots on account of not being comfortable or not liking how they feel on the bike.
    It sucks big-time.
