Why is it when cats lay like that, it’s cute. When I do it, every says it’s not appropriate?

My wife puts those stickers on Rx bottles, and I can confirm that nobody reads them. She has that same conversation daily with her patients. She does try not to laugh though...

Well....the middle of the grocery store was probably not the smartest move. +1 for doing it in the meat department though. First time I'd seen "Thunder Hog" on sale for $1.99 an inch. o_O

Thank you to your wife because I’m sure I would have been rushing my wife back to the doctor only to be told it’s perfectly normal if that label wasn’t on there.

Sometimes you miss your human after a long day of work. Oliver does this rarely but It’s more common on these cold winter days.

My old cats Ed and Bob would have to be trapped in the house all day and by the time you tried to get them in the car they knew and would make me pay in blood. Ronald luckily just gives up after he's wrapped in a towel.

None of mine ever give me a hard time getting in the cat carrier. They just sing me the song of their people the entire car ride.

Mine just sits in stony silence for the entire car ride, growls under his breath whenever the vet touches him, and then disappears to points unknown for a day or three after we get home.

Toni, the kitten, hasn't been to the vet for a followup yet, but tried to eat her crate on her trip home from the shelter, so not sure what that's about :notsure:

Youngest daughter fell asleep on the couch the other night. Took this pic in darkness with the flash.

If at all possible, I get the carrier out a day or so ahead of time and lean it, door side up, against a chair or the couch so the cat has a little time to get used to seeing it. Then when it's time to go I give him a couple of treats right next to it. While he's distracted I pick him up and drop him, butt first, into the carrier. Works every time.

I do get serenaded all the way out and all the way back.

I definitely have one that does that too!!

Once I get them, then everything is good from there. They even sit well behaved for the vet. When I get home and let them out they give me the glare though.

I had one cat (Motley- RIP) who when I put the carrier down would just walk right in as if he owned the place!!
