Officially down 20lbs since Xmas. Been a pretty easy process so far with minimal sacrifices. Going back to work was a little challenging but I made it work. Despite being a fish biologist, I can easily get under 3k steps during work outside of the field season. I get two 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch break. I have been using the office “gym” (aka treadmill, stationary bike and bow flex dumbbells) on my breaks. I can walk a mile and some change in 15 minutes. Best part is I am more than ready to sit down and knock more work out after.

Hoping to lose 15 - 20 more before the field season.

Keep in mind I started after a huge holiday binge. I went from 210 to 225 pretty quick (like two months). I dropped 10lbs almost immediately. The next 5lbs went a little slower and the last 5 lbs felt like I was going no where. I am pretty much at 1-2 lbs a week now. That’s why I am trying to lose the last 15-20 by May.

Gotcha. Yea I don't remember you being a 400lb slob who starts dieting and loses 15lbs of water weight the first day type of deal. I'm sitting at 230 now and am going to try to get down to 215 by May.

Here’s my first “make this thread great again” contribution.

Some pulls from today. Here’s my 3rd of 3 quick singles at 425.

    https://youtu.be/78g3mfme6Pc

And then an AMRAP with 425. Thumbs were about to explode so I quit. (Hook grip)

    https://youtu.be/b5c0xIcQs6Y

    Followed this with 2x7 paused @ 300.

    Then 1x20 touch and go @ 255.

Then 400m farmer walk with two 70 dumbbells. Took 4:42.

    Then 4x15 weighted back extensions.

    What’d y’all do today?

We used to post newdz in here all the time.

Of ourselves, I mean. That’s when this thread was killin it. A few of us aren’t active much in here anymore :notsure: oh well.

I started a diet first of the year. My lifts were all going up, but I was getting fat. 375S, 295B (never got back to full strength post-shoulder Injury), 465D. I was doing 315 on squats for 5 sets of 2 this past Tuesday, then dropped to 225 for 4 sets of 4 pause. When I got home and sat down, my back tensed up. Pretty typical after some squat work. Wednesday morning I rolled out of bed and took a deep breath and my back hurt so bad my knees buckled and I almost hit the floor. Not sure what the deal is. I rested it and heated it the last few days. It’s getting better, but certain movements still hurt a little. Back in the gym today for the first time since Tuesday. Great bicep pump for some reason.

Not muscle. Low back. Might be some sort of pinched nerve or something. I have a LOT more range of motion than i did a couple days ago. It’ll go away eventually.

Btw you know what sucks? That weird body shape whenever you lost your excess fat but you aren’t swole enough to look like you lift hard. Like cmon gains. Grow, you little fuckers, grow.
