Yep. Bought the house I was living in... its right on plumb about 5 houses down from mccarran. I have been spoiled with this view the last several years and couldn't pass up the opportunity to own the place.

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
Hey guys, wondering if anyone can give me input on a couple of things...

    1. Decent gym to join, preferably in SW Reno (not mandatory, but more convenient)? I keep in shape here, realize I'm going to have to acclimate a bit to the altitude change, but also
because I want to attempt joining Washoe County SAR (currently on my local SAR team, so I know the deal with SAR) and I need to stay in shape.

    2. WTF is up with the no-shoot zones? I read the county rules and understand them. But HTF will you know whether there's another 'occupied dwelling' within 5000'? A bunnyhumper
in a tent could be considered an 'occupied dwelling', no? Is the Washoe County range any good, or should I just drive an hour east into the sticks and then set up? I only shot at
the county range a couple of times for CCW qualification. Seemed OK, but not sure.

Now I just need to come up with an appropriate ceremonial "burning of the ship" once we close and get settled. Maybe I'll burn my California CCW and mail the ashes to Newsom.

The "new" zones are taken super seriously. Five years ago no one cared, now the sheriffs show up in about five minutes. I wouldn't want to start a fire in one from shooting. One would be properly fucked. The pyramid range is where I go for sighting. Decent range out to the 1k' distance.

The Pyramid facility is pretty sweet.

I go far far out. Not into the washoe range, I’d rather drive to Carson

I didn't know that facility existed down in Carson. And it's closer than the other range. Thanks for the tip!!

That's. So. Lame. Considering you can hear a rifle shot from more than 5000' away, that would keep the Sheriff running around an awful lot. Sounds like it's just easier to spend a few extra minutes on the road, and use one of the ranges, or just head for the Deep Boonies.

Those zones are just around city proper. Once you get to real NV none of that applies.
